POTPOURRI GROUP Y211237 RC Radio Control Instruction

TO TURN ON

  1. First turn boat to ON (ON/OFF switch located on bottom of car). Lights on car will activate.
  2. Turn Remote Controller to ON with indicators on remote set to NORM.

Caution

  • Correctly charging battery pack will avoid short circuits. Short circuits will cause overheating, burning of the cords and other damage to the battery pack and charger.
  • The Li-ion battery charger should be used for charging one battery pack. Do not use the charger for charging other types of batteries and battery packs.
  • Do not use charger as a direct current outlet for other electrical appliances or machines
  • Make sure that the battery pack and charger are kept out of the hands of infants and small children at all times. Do not charge near fires, locations where the temperature is extremely high. Keep water away from the battery pack, especially while charging.
  • The battery and charger will slightly heat up while charging. Keep area free of obstacles while charging.
  • If the power of the battery pack is weak in spite of proper charging, the batteries may be worn out from repeated use. Replace it with a new Li-ion battery pack.
  • Disconnect the A/C Charger before making or breaking connections to the battery.
  • Only use recommended battery pack.
  • WARNING! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECHARGE NON-RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN THE CONTROLLER.
  • Use the enclosed battery charger for the rechargeable battery pack only.

Warning

  • The charger is not intended for use by children under 12 years old. Charge under direct adult supervision.
  • Inspect the charger on a consistent basis, especially the leads and connectors.
  • Do not use if there are signs of damage.
  • Never attempt to dismantle or repair the charger. Only use as a Li-ion battery charger. Not suitable as a main adaptor or transformer.
  • Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries – this could result in damage to battery and charger.
  • Do not overcharge your battery pack. This will not increase running time and will cause damage to your battery and charger.
  • Do not charge near water.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

  • Store and operate this product away from excessive heat and moisture.
  • Charge battery pack indoors only.
  • Dispose of used Li-ion battery packs correctly. Waste Electrical Products should not be disposed of with household waste. Recycle where facilities exist.
  • Never dispose of into a fire.

CLEANING AND REPAIR

If you do not operate the vehicle for a long period of time. remove the battery or the charge will be lost. Please use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the product. Do not leave the car or the remote controller near heat source or fire. Do not leave the unit in extreme hot or cold weather, in the rain or in humid conditions. USE GOOD COMMON SENSE WHEN OPERATING, CHARGING OR STORING THE UNIT.

2.4G REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY INSTALLATION The battery cover is located on the bottom of the radio controllers. Slide the battery cover as shown in the photos, install three “AA” size batteries into the battery compartment, and replace the battery cover.

Battery Precautions

  1. Do not mix new and old batteries.
  2. Use batteries of same brand.
  3. Always remove batteries when not in use.
  4. Before using your car, make sure the radio controller is of enough battery power. Low battery power will lead to the loss of control of your car.

CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

  1. Join the connector of the charger to the connector of the battery pack.
  2. Plug the charger into an electrical outlet.
  3. Recharge for about 4 hours.
  4. When the recharging is over, plug out the charger from the electrical outlet and detach the connectors.

BATTERY CHARACTERISTICS AND  RECHARGING TIPS   When playing for the first tiem after purchase, of after a long interval, the battery power may be weak. Even after recharging, the playing time can be relatively short. The battery will gradually regain power after 2 or 3 repetitions of usage and recharging.

RECHARGING: WARNING! USE UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF AN ADULT. * The newly purchased battery pak is  not charged. Charge before operating.

PERFORMANCE TIPS

  • Do not operate on grass, dirt, sand, or carpet. Do not drive through water or snow.
  • Do not drive in windy conditions or in the rain.
  • If the remote controller or vehicle gets wet, first turn off the vehicle and unplug the battery pack, then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe it down.
  • Avoid direct impact with obstacles.
  • Turn off the R/C and car when not in use.
  • Keep wheels clean and free from debris, including hair, sand, and dirt.
  • For maximum frequency reception, keep the antenna up on the remote controller.
