Thank you for choosing a ResMed USB adapter
Intended Use
Used with ResMed devices, the USB adapters transmit patient therapy data
between the device and Tx Link for sleep studies.
The Air10 USB adapter shown in illustration A is compatible with AirSense™ 10
/
AirCurve™ 10 / Lumis™ devices. The S9™ USB adapter shown in illustration B is
compatible with S9 devices.
Before using the USB adapter, read the entire guide together with the device
User Guide.
The USB adapter is intended to be used in a clinical environment only.
Note: Not all devices are available in all regions.
USB adapter at a glance
The USB adapter comprises the following elements:

- USB cable.

Software compatibility
Ensure the PC intended for use has the appropriate ResMed patient management software installed.
For a full list of compatible software refer to the Data Management Device Compatibility List on www.resmed.com.
Setting up
See illustration E or F:

Ensure the device is disconnected from the power outlet.

Connect the USB adapter to the device.

Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB adapter and the other to the
Tx Link or ResScan (S9 USB adapter only). -
Reconnect the device to the power outlet.
You can now perform sleep studies, or download data (S9 USB adapter only). For more information, refer to the online software help. When the sleep studies or data download are complete, you can remove the USB adapter if required.

Removing the USB adapter
- Disconnect the device from the power outlet.
- Press the release button/s on the side of the USB adapter and pull gently to remove it from the device.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Disconnect the device from the power outlet and remove the USB adapter.
- Wipe the exterior of the USB adapter with a clean, dry cloth. The contacts do not require cleaning.

number. IP21 Protection against insertion of fingers and against vertically
dripping water. IP22 Protected against finger sized objects and against
dripping water when tilted up to 15 degrees from specified.

Notes:
- IP21 rating applies only to S9 USB adapter without USB cable attached.
- IP22 rating applies only to Air10 USB adapter.

Do not open or modify the USB adapter. The USB adapter is not designed to be serviced. There are no serviceable parts inside.
CAUTION
- In the US, Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician
- Only use the USB adapter as specified in this guide.
- S9 USB adapters are specifically designed for use with ResMed S9 devices.
- Air10 USB adapters are specifically designed for use with the ResMed AirSense 10 / AirCurve 10 / Lumis devices.
- Do not use liquids to clean any part of the USB adapter.
Note: Any serious incident that has occured in relation to this device should be reported to ResMed and to the competent authority in your country.
