General information

Reading and storing the user manual

This user manual accompanies the Perfect Touch (hereinafter referred to only as the “trimmer”).
It contains important information on start-up and handling.
Before using the trimmer, read the user manual carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to follow this user manual may result in severe injury or damage to the trimmer.
The user manual is based on the standards and rules in force in the European Union. When abroad, you must also observe country-specific guidelines and laws. Store the user manual for future use. If you pass the trimmer on to third parties, please be absolutely sure to include this user manual.

The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the trimmer or on the packaging.

WARNING!
This signal symbol/word designates a hazard with moderate degree of risk which may lead to death or severe injury if not avoided.

Safety

Proper use
The trimmer is only designed for shaving and trimming body hair in sensitive areas such as eyebrows, bikini area, armpits or similar.
It is only intended for private use and is not suitable for commercial use.
Only use the trimmer as described in this user manual. Any other use is deemed im-proper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury. The trimmer is not a children’s toy.

The manufacturer or vendor accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

Safety instructions

WARNING!

Danger of explosion!
Improperly handling the batteries may cause an explosion.

  • Only replace the battery in the trimmer with batteries of the same type or batteries of an equivalent type.
  • Never short circuit the batteries.
  • Never dismantle the batteries.
  • Never throw the batteries in fire.
  • Never expose batteries to excessive heat or direct sunlight.
  • Do not charge any non-rechargeable batteries.

WARNING!
Risk of chemical burns!
Leaking battery acid may lead to chemical burns.

  • Do not allow battery acid to come into contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes.
  • In the event of contact with battery acid, immediately flush the applicable areas with plenty of clean water and consult a physician.

WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capacities (e.g. partially disabled persons, older persons with reduced physical and mental capacities) or lack of experience and knowledge
(e.g. older children).

  • This trimmer may be used by children ages eight and over as well as persons with impaired physical, senso-ry or mental capacities or those lacking experience and knowledge if they are super-vised or have been instructed in how to safely use the trim-mer and have understood the risks associated with oper-ating it. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children.

  • Keep children under eight years of age away from the trimmer.

  • Do not leave the trimmer unsupervised.

  • Do not allow children to play with the trimmer, the small parts or the packaging wrap-per. Children could swallow it and suffocate.

  • Do not share the trimmer with other persons.

  • If you suffer from eczema,open wounds, allergic skin reactions, varicose veins or a large number of moles, only use the trimmer in consulta-tion with a physician.

  • Never use and store the trimmer on or near hot sur-faces (e.g. hotplates).
  • Never expose the trimmer to high temperatures (heaters etc.).
  • Never fill the trimmer with liquid.
  • Do not in any case place the trimmer in the dishwasher.
  • Stop using the trimmer if the plastic parts of the trimmer exhibit cracks or breaks or are deformed.
  • Only replace damaged parts with corresponding original spare parts.

If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other pointed objects, you may damage the trimmer.

  • Be careful when opening the package.
  1. Take the trimmer out of the packaging.
  2. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
  3. Check whether the trimmer or the individual parts exhibit damage. If this is the case, do not use the trimmer. Contact the manufacturer at the service address specified on the warranty card.

Operation

Inserting the battery

CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the trimmer may result in injury.

  • Make sure that the precision head is not resting on the housing when you insert the battery.
    • When opening and closing the battery compartment, pay attention to the marks on the trimmer housing.
    • The battery compartment cover and the protective cover are each marked with a dot. The two dots are located above one another when closed (see Fig. B).
  1. Take the protective cover 8 and the precision head 7 off.

  2. Turn the battery compartment cover 3 clockwise up to the stop point (see Fig. C).

  3. Take the battery compartment cover off.

  4. Insert a 1.5 V LR03 (AAA) battery in the battery compartment 4 .
    In the process, observe the polarity indicated in the battery compartment.

  5. Put the battery compartment cover back on the trimmer.

  6. Turn the battery compartment cover anticlockwise up to the stop point.

Using the trimmer
  • After using the trimmer, apply body lotion or baby powder to the applicable parts of your skin.

Using the precision head
Use the precision head 7 to precisely shape your hair.

  • Attach the precision head to the housing 6 .
    Observe the marks on the precision head and on the trimmer housing.

  • Turn the precision head clockwise up to the stop point.

  • Push the On/Off switch 5 to switch the trimmer on.

  • Slowly run the trimmer opposite the direction of hair growth on the part of your body you are trimming.

  • Push the On/Off switch to turn the trim-mer off.

Using the trimmer comb
Use the trimmer comb 1 to trim your hair to the same length.

  • Attach the trimmer comb to the precision head 7 (see Fig. C).
  • Push the On/Off switch 5 to switch the trimmer on.
  • Slowly run the trimmer opposite the direction of hair growth on the part of your body you are trimming.
  • Push the On/Off switch to turn the trimmer off.

Cleaning and maintenance

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the trim-mer may result in damage.

  • Do not in any case place the trimmer in the dishwasher.
  • Take the battery out of the battery compartment before you clean the trimmer.
  • Do not hold the trimmer under running water for a prolonged period of time.

Cleaning the precision head and trimmer comb

  1. Take the trimmer comb 1 and the precision head 7 off of the trimmer.

  2. Use the cleaning brush 2 to remove small hairs.

  3. Rinse the precision head and the trimmer comb under clean water.

  4. Completely dry the precision head and the trimmer comb.

  5. Attach the precision head back to the trimmer.
    Cleaning the trimmer

  6. Wipe the trimmer, the housing 6 , the battery compartment cover 3 and the protective cover 8 off with a damp cloth.

  7. Let all parts dry completely afterwards.

Storage

  • Clean the trimmer as described in the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”.

  • Use the original packaging or a similar box to store the trimmer and all accessories.

  • Remove the battery if you do not intend to use the trimmer for a prolonged period.

  • Put the protective cover 8 on the trimmer.
    To do so, remove the trimmer comb 1 from the precision head 7 if necessary.

  • Store the trimmer in a dry place so that it is securely locked away preventing access by children.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible cause Solution
The trimmer doesn’t trim sufficiently. The trimmer comb or the precision head

| The trimmer head or the precision head have not been properly mounted on the housing.| Observe the marks on the precision head and on the housing when mounting them. Make sure that the precision head and the trimmer comb are securely in place.

Disposal
Disposing of the packaging
Dispose of the packaging separated into single type materials.
Dispose of cardboard and carton as waste paper and film via the recyclable material collection service.

Disposing of the trimmer
(Applicable in the European Union and other
European states with systems for the separate collection of reusable waste materials) Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste!
If the trimmer can no longer be used, every user is required by law to dispose of old devices separately from their household waste, e.g. at a collection point in his community/borough. This ensures that old devices are recycled in a professional manner and also rules out negative consequences for the environment. For this reason, electrical equipment is marked with the symbol shown here.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in the household waste!
As the end user you are required by law to bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain harmful substances* or not, to a collection point run by the communal authority or borough or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
