SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual. In case of damage caused by the user failing to follow the instructions in this manual, the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, negligent use, or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

  1.  This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  3.  Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  5. WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
  6.  When the hairdryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
  7.  Before inserting the plug into the main socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.
  8.  Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.
  9. Ensure that the mains cable is not hungover sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
  10.  Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is a danger to life due to electric shock!
  11.  To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
  12.  Do not touch the appliance if it falls into the water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.
  13. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
  14.  Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.
  15.  Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
  16.  This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
  17. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  18.  Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
  19.  Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and suchlike.
  20. Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment.
  21.  Use only original accessories.
  22. Do not use the device outdoors.
  23. Attachments may get hot in use. Use care when handling them.
  24.  The slots and openings on the appliance are for ventilation. Do not cover or block them as it could lead to overheating.

Switchboard:

  • “-0”: off;
  • “-1”: low heat output; “-2”: high heat output.

COMMISSIONING

  1.  Fully unwind the mains cable.
  2.  Using the hairdressing nozzle, individual sections of the hair can be dried by bundling the airflow.
  3. Insert the plug into an earthed contact socket 220-240V ~ 50-60Hz.

HOW TO USE THE HAIRDRYER

  1.  Always ensure the switch is set to position “0” before plug in the power outlet.
  2. Use the high setting for drying hair, and use the low setting for styling.
  3. After use set the switch to position “0” and unplug the appliance. You can fold the handle to save storage space.
  4.  Should the hairdryer stop for any reason, turn it off at once and let it cool down.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Ensure that the hairdryer is disconnected from the main supply before cleaning.
  • Never immerse the hairdryer in water and always ensure that plug is kept dry.
  •  Clean the air suction opening from time to time with a fine brush. Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.
  •  Frequently clean out any hair or fluff that becomes stuck in the inlet filter. To clean the filter, vacuum and dry clean, never immerse the filter in water. Failure to keep filter clean may result in overheating.

Damage to accessories does not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such case please contact our service department. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the warranty and are to be paid.
