These instructions will make it easier for you to handle the device and help prevent misunderstandings and possible damage or injury.

Calibration
After dropping or damage it may be necessary to recalibrate the unit. To do so, place the unit on a surface known as level and press ON/OFF and ZERO simultaneously until “-1-“ is displayed. Then, press ON/OFF and “-1-“ flashes until “-2-“ is displayed. Spin the unit around and wait until “-2-” stops flashing. The absolute angle and “ABS” are displayed and calibration is complete.
Safety Notes
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
- Please read this manual carefully and use the unit only according to this manual.
- Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
- Do not expose the unit to humidity, mechanical stress, dirt, high temperatures, extreme heat or strong magnetic fields.
- Keep the protractor away from children and also store it out of the reach of children. It is not a toy and has sharp edges, which can lead to serious injury.
- Do not allow liquids of any kind to enter the display.
- If you do not plan to use the unit for some time, remove the battery.
- Do not disassemble, burn, or short-circuit batteries and do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not contain parts serviceable by you. In case of questions or problems, turn to our customer support.
Batteries do not belong in household garbage.
For battery disposal, please check with your local council.
Operation
Inserting the Battery
Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit and insert one 1.5 V battery LR03 (AAA) with correct polarity. Polarity symbols are located in the battery compartment.
ON/OFF Button
Push the ON/OFF Button (2) once to turn the unit on. The LCD backlight will
turn on and the unit will be in the absolute measuring mode (ABS).
After approximately 10 seconds of non-use the LCD backlight turns off. To turn
the backlight back on, briefly press the ON/OFF button or move the unit.
After approximately 5 minutes of non-use the unit will turn off. To turn the
unit back on press the ON/OFF button (2).
To turn off the unit press and hold the ON/OFF button (2).
Measuring Angles
With the build-in magnet the unit can be stuck to any magnetic surface.
Absolute measuring : When the unit is turned on it is in the absolute measuring mode (ABS). The tilting angle of the unit is displayed and the up and down arrows indicate the leaning direction. If the unit leans to the right, the DOWN arrow is displayed, if the unit leans to the left, the UP arrow is displayed.
Zero Function : To measure relative angles, press the ZERO button (3). The current angle is set as zero and the measured angles are relative to that angle. To return to the ABS mode, press the ON/OFF (2) button briefly.
Cleaning and Storing
Clean the protractor with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not immerse the
protractor in liquids of any kind. Store the angle gauge in a dry location and
protect the unit from dust and dirt.
If you do not use the angle gauge for long period of time, remove the battery.
