NOTE:
Store the product at a minimum of 20°C for 24 hours before inflation.

TIPS FOR PUMPING

  • The SUP board can be inflated by hand or with an electric pump. The electric pump saves time, but the board can only be filled to 60-80% with an electric pump. Use a manual pump to obtain the correct pressure, 0.8-1.0 bar (12-15 psi).
  • Never use a compressor to pump up the SUP board.
  • A small amount of air can leak out after 2 to 3 days. In which case pump it up to the correct pressure.
  • Before going out on a long paddling trip the SUP board should be pumped up and left undisturbed for 24 hours to check that it is tight. In the event of leakage — read “Repairs” in this manual.
  • Never inflate the SUP board over the maximum pressure of 1 bar. A simple way of checking the pressure is that the SUP board should give a little when you press it.
  • Do not allow a fully pumped SUP board to lie in the sun for too long. If the SUP board is lying in a warm place it is better to empty out a little air so that the remaining air has space to expand.
  • The lower temperature of the water can sometimes cause the SUP board to lose a little pressure. By taking a pump along you can fill up with air when necessary.

HOW TO USE

  • Stand comfortably with your feet apart at about shoulder width. Bend your knees slightly, stand relaxed with a straight back, shoulders pulled back, and look straight forward.
  • Place your upper hand around the paddle handle and your lower hand about 60 cm further down on the paddle. Paddle smoothly with your arms slightly bent.
  • To swing to the left take a stroke on the right side and to swing to the right take a stroke on the left side.
    FIG. 3

WARNING!
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can reduce the life span of the SUP board. Do not leave the SUP board in direct sunlight for more than 1 hour after use.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Pull out the fin from its attachment.
  2. Empty the SUP board of air.
  3. Fold up the SUP board.
  4. Strap the folded SUP board together.
  5. Put the SUP board and other accessories in the transport case. FIG. 4

NOTE:

  • Before storage, the SUP board should be rinsed with fresh water. Allow to completely dry before folding.
  • Never use strong detergent. Mild soap and lukewarm water will remove most stains.
  • The SUP board can be stored inflated or deflated. If it is stored deflated it is recommended to put it in the supplied transport case.
  • If the SUP board is stored outdoors and inflated it is recommended to not place it directly on the ground and that it should be covered by a tarpaulin to protect it from the weather and wind.
  • Do not store the SUP board hanging up.
  • Do not store the SUP board at extreme temperatures, such as over 65°C or below -20°C.
  • Store in a dry, cool place out of the reach of children.
  • Do not unfold the SUP board when it is cold.
  • Store the SUP board at a minimum of 20°C for 24 hours before inflation.

REPAIRS

Leakage detection
If the pressure in the SUP board drops, and it is not because of temperature differences, you should check for leakage. Start with the valve. It is unusual for the valve to leak, but if it gets damaged it should be replaced.
Use soapy water (mix soap or washing-up liquid with water in a spray container) to check for any leakage. Spray around the valve; if there are bubbles, check the seat and bottom of the valve and that it is correctly screwed in. You should order a new valve if the leakage continues.
If the SUP board is leaking air and the valve is tight, then the PVC material is probably damaged. Small punctures can be easily and permanently repaired. Spray with soapy water until you find bubbles. You can also pump up the board to maximum pressure to listen for a leak. When you have localized the area you can spray again to find the exact spot.

Small scratches

Damage less than 3 mm can be repaired without a patch. Empty the SUP board of air, clean and dry the area to be repaired. Drop a small drop of glue over the hole and allow it to dry for 12 hours.

Minor repairs

  1. Empty the SUP board of air.
  2. Wipe the area where the SUP board is damaged.
  3. Cut out a polyester patch that covers the hole by a margin of 1.5 cm around the damage on the SUP board.
  4. Apply the correct type of glue on the damaged area on the SUP board.
  5. Put the polyester patch on the glued area and press firmly for 30 seconds.
  6. Allow the SUP board to dry for 24 h after it has been repaired before using it again.
