Anker Soundcore Life Q20 Noise Canceling Headphones
The SoundCore Life Q20 offers a fantastic price-to-performance ratio for
wireless headphones, making it a wonderful alternative for people on a budget.
While these headphones aren’t perfect in every way, the sound quality, active
noise cancellation, and comfort are all above average, and you get it all for
a bargain. The headband, even when adjusted to its smallest size, is fairly
large, which is the single restriction in our recommendation of these
headphones. As a result, persons with smaller skulls may have difficulty
finding a secure and comfortable fit. If your head or ears are unusually
shaped, you might want to choose earbuds or another form of headphones.
Because good over-ear noise cancellation for under $200 is hard to come by,
Anker’s $69.99 Soundcore Life Q20 headphones simply need to produce adequate
active noise cancellation (ANC) to stand out. Unfortunately, while the ANC
reduces unwanted noise, it also reduces audio quality and introduces a
characteristic hiss to the signal. The drivers are capable of delivering good
audio without ANC, but unless you utilize the in-app EQ to tune in a more
balanced sound character, they suffer from excessive sculpting.
Elegant Design
- Although the Soundcore Life Q20 headphones are only available in black, they have a sophisticated appearance. Because of the amply padded headband and earpads, they fit pleasantly over your ears.
- The side panel of the right earcup has a variety of controls, including a central playback button and two outer volume buttons.
- Controls for the headphones are located on each of the ear cups. The buttons for powering up and connecting the cans with your phone, as well as the active noise cancelling on/off switch, are all located on the left cup. On the right, thanks to the
- foldable design and supplied pouch, you can effortlessly stow the headphones when you’re done with them.

Comfortability
All-rounder Comfort: Memory foam earcups gently mold to your ears, while rotating joints in the headband automatically change the angle of the earcups to fit the shape of your head. This ensures that the Life Q20 active noise cancelling headphones provide the best possible comfort and seal.
Active Noise Cancellation
- Press the ANC/NC button repeatedly to turn the active noise cancellation mode on or off, or activate the transparency mode.
- ANC: Reduces ambient noise.
- Transparency: Stay aware of your surroundings by allowing ambient sounds in.
AUX Mode
- Play audio on an external device by plugging in a 3.5mm AUX cable.
- Plugging in an audio cable will automatically switch to AUX mode, and Bluetooth mode and ANC will turn off.
Sound Quality
- The headphones’ strength is the sound quality they provide for the price. They brought up the intimacy of solo piano more than I expected, which can be a genuine test for headphones.
- You’re likely to accept a certain level of loss if you’re listening to solo piano at home with entry-level Bluetooth headphones. I didn’t feel frustrated in the least. To be honest, I just heard a smidgeon of what was being said.
