Why is my Honeywell Pro Series thermostat not working?
Troubleshooting a Programmable Honeywell Thermostat
Put in new batteries; Check the circuit breaker; Check the indoor unit to make
sure all the panel doors are closed; Make sure the power is connected to the
furnace or air conditioning unit by checking the switch near the indoor unit
is up.
How often should thermostat batteries be changed?
about once every year
Replacing the batteries of your thermostat is a simple and easy home
maintenance task you can carry out yourself when necessary. As a rule,
thermostat batteries will need to change about once every year. If you
periodically change them, you shouldn’t have any problems maintaining control
of your thermostat.
What does the hold button on my Honeywell thermostat do?
This is where the “Hold” button on your thermostat comes into play. By pressing “Hold”, your thermostat will lock in the temperature it’s currently at until you change it again. When you are ready for your normal schedule to resume, simply press the “Run” button and return to your typical programming
Will digital thermostat work without battery?
Yes, the Smart Thermostat will work without batteries. If there are no batteries inserted, and the thermostat is running off solely of AC power, the thermostat will report a low battery (indicated by a caution sign and LOW BATTERY flashing on the display).
Can low batteries affect my thermostat?
Having a low battery can cause all kinds of bad readings on the thermostat, which means the thermostat may kick on when it’s not supposed to, the room temperature may be incorrect, and the central system may not work at all.
Why did my thermostat stop working?
There simply may not be any power going to your thermostat. This could be caused by a poor connection, blown fuse, dead batteries, or a tripped circuit breaker. If all of these areas look good and your unit should be receiving power, the issue lies elsewhere.
