Inline switch and power meter installation Manual

ECODHOME 01335 Inline Switch and Power Meter .

Introduction

Thanks for choosing the Smarthome inline switch and power meter for pairing with the home automation gateway. This module is a Z-Wave-enabled device and is fully compatible with any Z-Wave-enabled network. Every mains-powered Z-Wave enabled device acts as a signal repeater and multiple devices result in more possible transmission routes, which helps eliminate “RF dead-spots”.
The device is a Z-Wave appliance switch, which can report wattage energy usage or kWh energy usage to a Z-Wave gateway. It can also be controlled by other Z-Wave devices,  to turn on/off when appropriate. This device also acts as a repeater.

Note: if the device was correctly removed from the ZWave network, the Status Indication LED will be blinking.

Operation

As soon as the inline switch is connected to the appliance you want to control, the LED indicator will be solid on and the device detects and transmits the consumption data (W or kW) or it can activate the rules defined by the Z-wave home automation gateway.
If this function is supported by the Z-Wave gateway to which it is paired, energy consumption data will be available on the user interface.
Note: if the device is not successfully included in the Zwave network, the LED will blink slowly.
