Luminous signals

The IoB device has two signal LEDs, one green and one red.
The green LED signals the status of the ModBus connection to the thermostat:

1 flash every 3 seconds MyMB successfully connected to the system.
2 flash every 3 seconds MyMB is working as if it were connected to a

thermostat with ON/OFF contact.
On and with two offs every 3 second| MyMB in thermostat ON/OFF mode with heating request in progress.

The red LED, if flashing, signals the following anomalies:

2 flashes + pause ModBus communication is missing.
3 flashes + pause The device works properly.
5 flashes + pause Lack of Wi-Fi connection and/or internet communication.

The error signal on the Wi-Fi network can concern both a failed connection to the local network and a failed connection to the SmartDHOME server (internet failure, server temporarily unreachable, etc.).
Compatible devices (SmartDHOME)
The MyMB can be connected to multiple devices in our catalog; so that the latter can interface with the MyVirtuoso Home building automation system. All the devices compatible and manageable with this actuator are listed below.

Z-Wave configuration
ATTENTION!
Although the device has multiple communication modes, they cannot be configured at the same time. Before configuring the device, carefully choose the desired type of communication.
Inclusion in a Z-Wave network
If you have the Z-Wave version, you can include the MyMB device in a Z-Wave network. To do this, first consult the manual for your HUB to learn how to include the devices.
Before starting the procedure for including the device in a Z-Wave network, check that it is turned on, then make sure that the HUB is in inclusion mode (if you have the MyVirtuoso Home system, refer to the relative manual available on the website https://www.myvirtuosohome.com/en/downloads).

  1. Press and hold the function button for 8 seconds.

If the procedure was successful, the device will be displayed in the HUB App (MyVirtuoso Home).

Exclusion from a Z-Wave network
If you have the Z-Wave version, you can exclude the MyMB device in a Z-Wave network. To do this, first consult the manual of your HUB to learn how to exclude devices.
Before starting the procedure for excluding the device from a Z-Wave network, check that it is turned on, then make sure that the HUB is in exclusion mode (if you have the MyVirtuoso Home HUB, refer to the relative manual available on the website https://www.myvirtuosohome.com/en/downloads).

  1. Press and hold the function button for 8 seconds.

If the procedure was successful, the device will no longer be displayed in the HUB App (MyVirtuoso Home).
Wi-Fi setup
ATTENTION! Although the device has multiple communication modes, they cannot be configured at the same time. Before configuring the device, carefully choose the desired type of communication.
ATTENTION!!! If you have an active license to use the Contact Pro IoT platform, you can carry out the following procedure (choice 1). If you do not have an active license and need to use the IoB app, you must contact your sales representative in order to proceed with the purchase of a new license.
Otherwise you can proceed with the configuration by following the procedure below (choice 2).

Wi-Fi configuration with App (choice 1)

For a correct configuration of the device, it is necessary to download and install the IoB application on your smartphone. Then set the MyMB in programming mode, turning on the device and pressing the function key for about 3 seconds.
When the button is released, the device will enter configuration signaling the status with an alternate flashing of the LEDs (red and green). This will create the “IoB” Wi-Fi to which you will need to connect to proceed with the configuration.
At this point it is necessary to open the application installed at the beginning.
Once inside, press Set up Remote Server/Wi-Fi on the Home screen (see image on the left) and click on continue in the pop-up that will appear. On the page that will open, move to the Wi-Fi section (see image). Then press the key to view the list of Wi-Fi detected by the device. Select the correct one, enter the password and press SAVE. If the Wi-Fis are not present or visible, press the reload button on the list.
The operation was successful, a message of successful configuration will be visible at the bottom of the screen.
To end the process, press the Close button at the top right. The LEDs on the MyMB device will stop flashing alternately.
At the end of the programming procedure, the device will be operational again with the new configuration. In case of unsuccessful programming, or to cancel t, press the RESET key and the device will restart.

Wi-Fi setup without application (choice 2)
ATTENTION! Any type of intervention by our technicians, which will be caused by an incorrectly performed installation or by a fault caused by the customer, will be quoted and will be charged to whoever purchased the system.
If you have good experience with this type of device, you can configure the MyMB without using the application:

  1. Turn on the device.

  2. Press and hold the function key for 3 seconds.

  3. Release the button and check that the device is in programming mode (alternating red and green flashing).

  4. Connect your smartphone to the Wi-Fi network with SSID IOB (no passkey required).

  5. Once the connection is established, open the navigation application and enter the following link and press enter: http://192.168.4.1/sethost?host=iobgw.contactproready.it&port=9577
A white screen with the word OK will appear.

  6. Continue entering the link:
http://192.168.4.1/setwifi?ssid=nomerete&pwd=passwordwifi Instead of network name, enter the SSID of the network you want to connect to and instead of wifi password, enter the key of the chosen Wi-Fi network. A blank page with the wording OK will appear.
‘Insert the third and last link:
    http://192.168.4.1/exit
A blank page will appear with the wording EXIT.

COMMAND_CLASS_BASIC

This class can be used to turn on/off the boiler (or to know its Current status). However, it must be specified that the auto-report of this CC has not been implemented. It is therefore recommended to use the CC COMMAND_CLASS_SWITCH_BINARY.

COMMAND_CLASS_SWITCH_BINARY

This CC can be used to turn the boiler on/off (or to know its current status). It also periodically generates selfreports of the current status to node 1 of the network.

COMMAND_CLASS_THERMOSTAT_SETPOINT

This CC can be used to manage the boiler setpoints.
N.B. The maximum value and minimum value of the setpoints are displayed with the CONFIGURATION command class. This is to support a system hot swap without lock/unlock. It is also important to know that setting the setpoint value to 0 is equivalent to setting it to 40°C.
Below is the map between “mode” and the setpoint, while the unit of each measurement is communicated as per specifications in the CC report message.
