bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do
not install or use it and contact your dealer.
General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Battery
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
Operation
Normal Operation Mode
Time
Hours, minutes and seconds are displayed.
Alarm
Hold button C to display the current alarm time.
Alarm On/Off
Hold B and C (see fig.) simultaneously to activate/deactivate the alarm.
Calendar
Hold B to display the month, the date and the day of the week.
12/24 Hr-Mode
Select either the 12hr- or the 24hr-mode when setting the time. Press A (see figure) three times to make the digits for the seconds flash. Press B to reset the seconds. Press C to confirm the seconds and make the digits for the minutes flash. Use B to set the minutes, press C to confirm the minutes and make the digits for the hours flash. Note that the digits will progress faster if B is held. Press B again to advance the hours until the “A”-, the “P”- or the “H”- symbol appears on the display: “A” and “P” stand for 12hr-mode, “H” for 24hr-mode. Press A to return to the normal time display.
Stopwatch Mode
Press A once to activate this mode. Press B to start/stop the stopwatch. Press C while the stopwatch is running to display the split time and press again to display the timing again. Press C to reset the stopwatch when it is not running.
Measurement of total elapsed time: Press B to start the stopwatch. Press B again to stop it and press B again to restart the stopwatch. The stopwatch will continue the count from where it was stopped. Press B to stop the stopwatch and press C to reset it.
Split time measurement: Press B to start the stopwatch. The stopwatch is still running off-screen when C is pressed to view the split time. Press C to display the ongoing count on-screen again. Press B to stop the stopwatch and C to reset it.
Comparing two competitors: Press B to start the stopwatch and press C to display the time of competitor 1. The user should consequently press B to display the time of competitor 2. Press C to reset the stopwatch.
Press A to return to the normal display mode.
Time/Calendar Mode
Press A three times to activate this mode and make the digits for the seconds
flash. The various digits will start to flash in a fixed order when C is
pressed any number of times to select certain digits. The digits for the
seconds will start to flash first, followed by those for the minutes, the
hours, the date, the month and the day of the week.
Press B to reset the seconds. Press C to select the digits for the minutes,
hours, etc. and use B to modify them.
Press A to return to the normal display mode.
Alarm Mode
Press A twice to activate this mode and make the digits for the hours flash. Use B to enter the hours. Press C to confirm the hours and make the digits for the minutes flash. Enter the minutes with B and press A to return to the normal display mode.
How to Activate/Deactivate the Hour Chime
Hold button C in the normal display mode in order to display the current alarm time. Press A to make the marks above the days of the week appear or disappear. The marks above the days of the week indicate that the hour chime is activated.
How to Use the Snooze Function
Press B to stop the alarm when it goes off. The alarm will be reactivated some 5 minutes later.
How to Deactivate the Snooze Function
Press C to stop the alarm when it goes off. The alarm and the snooze function
will both be permanently deactivated.
The same result is achieved if no button is pressed for a full minute while
the alarm is sounding.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):
All consumer products are subject to a 24- month warranty on production flaws and defective material as fro m the original date of purchase.
Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is i mpossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
Not covered by warranty:
- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as i ts contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
- consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
- flaws resulting fro m fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.…;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and ti me, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
