FujiMAC MAC40K II Air Pump
Safety
- Read this manual carefully before usage.
- Make sure the air pump is in a dry, moisture and dust-free place, protected from rain, splashing water and flooding (fig. A).
- Do not install the pump directly above the water, so that it will not fall into the water in case of free fall. Place the air pump level on a stable surface at a minimum safety distance of 2 metres from the water (fig. B).
- Ensure voltage shown on the label correlates with the mains supply voltage.
- The plug may only be connected to an earthed wall socket. Ensure that water cannot reach the socket.
- The bottom of the air pump becomes warm during operation, therefore do not place flammable materials near the pump. Do not touch the housing with bare hands when the air pump is running.
- Take great care using electricity in combination with water, do not operate with wet hands or when the plug is wet.
- Unplug or switch off all appliances in the pond before carrying out maintenance. Allow the unit to fully cool before maintenance begins.
- Do not lift the air pump by the filter cover.
- In the event of damage to the unit, power cord or plug, do not use the unit and return the unit to your seller for repair or recycling. Replacement of the cord shall only be done the manufacturer, the distributor or an equally qualified person to prevent danger.
- The air pump will overheat and get damaged if it cannot discharge its air adequately. Never close outlets, make sure the air tube is not closed, bent or the air stones are not old or blocked.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
Installation

Always position the air pump above the water level otherwise the pump can fill up with water as a result of the siphoning effect. No warranties for damages caused by the air pump getting wet or water fill inside the air pump (fig. C)!
Maintenance -
Clean the air filter every 3 to 4 months. To do this, loosen the screw in the cover and remove the cover from the air pump. Replace the cover after cleaning, do not over tighten the screw to prevent damage to the thread. You must replace the air filter once a year.

Replace the diaphragms every year or when the pump produces less air and if the diaphragms are damaged. In the event of damage to the diaphragms or the compression chamber (valves), the Auto-Stop Function will engage (does not apply to MAC40K II) and the air pump will stop. Solve the problem by replacing the damaged part(s).

Diaphragm ware is normal and is not covered by warranty, if needed diaphragms can be bought at your dealer.

Recycle information
The bin symbol printed on the product means that this product must be
disposed of separately to standard refuse, whereby the user delivers to a
refuse centre applicable for electrical devices. Alternatively, the product
can be returned to the seller when purchasing a new unit. A bespoke refuse
centre is environmentally friendly and it helps the recycling of the
materials. Any other collection procedure is unlawful and will be subject to
the law in force.
Warranty conditions
3 year manufacturer’s warranty on material and construction defects, One
condition of the warranty is the membranes are replaced annually. For any
warranty claims products must be returned complete with all components,
accompanied with an official proof of purchase confirming a purchase date.
Incomplete products for which parts are missing and products without proof of
purchase are not eligible for warranty. After receiving and checking, we will
determine whether the product is eligible for repair or replacement. Please
carefully read the instructions regards installation, use and maintenance.
Damage due to incorrect use, damage due to pollution, not cleaning the product
and damage to the cable are not covered by the warranty.
Always keep proof of purchase, without a purchase note no warranty!
