Installation Steps

    If the EMERGENCY port is occupied, go to next page.

  3. Step 3. Cut the 3-pin connector off

  4. Step 4. Splice and join to the button wires

  • Step 4. Connect the button to Pins 6 & 7 (labeled “RLY Input”) of the relay connector Panasonic RS20296BRO Wiring the Emergency Shutdown Button with Evervolt Inverter 8

Testing the Button

  1. Turn on the inverter with the rocker switch on the left side of the inverter
  2. Wait for the inverter to boot up. Leave the inverter running.
  3. Press the emergency stop button. It should shut down the inverter immediately.
  4. Don’t forget to reset the emergency button after testing.
  • If the inverter does not shut down when the button is pressed, please make sure all the connectors are seated properly. Check all the wiring again. Check for conductor continuity as well.
  • If the inverter shuts down immediately after it is turned on, then likely the emergency button may have been set incorrectly. Please refer to the Troubleshooting section for correct wiring of the button.

Troubleshooting

If the inverter shuts down soon after starting up

  1. Step 1. Open the emergency button enclosure by undoing the four screws
  2. Step 2. Make sure the wires are connected to one of the “NO” (normally open) terminals blocks. If wires are connected to the “NC” terminal block, then move them to the “NO” terminal.
