MAGVENT MV-FLEX Indoor Hook-Up Dryer Vent Kit

Prerequisites of Install

• Dry Wall should already be hung.

Tools Required

Tape Measure, Pencil, Screwdriver or Screw gun, Tin snips, Safety Glasses, Gloves, AC Voltage Sensor.

Additional Requirements

For new installations you may need a Dryer Exhaust Wall Boot

Please resist the urge to play with the powerful magnets

Pinching Hazard! Wear gloves while handling. Keep hands, body, clothing, jewelry, tools, and debris free from mating magnetic surfaces.

Magvent could harm electronic devices and potentially erase magnetic storage medium. Keep Magvent away from sensitive electronics and magnetic storage mediums.

Pace Maker Warning: In close proximity, powerful magnets have been known to interfere with some types of pace makers with potentially fatal consequences. Consult a physician for precautions about handling powerful magnets.

Installation Overview

1. Mount Bracket and MV-FLEX Body to the wall.
2. Attach minimum length of Transition Duct to the Dryer-Side Union.
3. Mount the Transistion Duct to the Dryer Exhaust Port.
4. Push dryer into place and lift Dryer-Side Union into proximity of the MV-FLEX Body allowing the powerful magnets to complete the seal.
5. A quick visual inspection to verify proper seal, and you are done!

Step 1:
Unplug dryer and remove existing transition duct if necessary.

Step 2:
Cut end of duct system approximately flush with the wall surface (a) or notch and bend over (b) if needed.

Step 3:
Hold mounting bracket to the wall centered around the Wall Exit Point and mark the screw hole location on the wall.
Note: Some installations may benefit from notching or removing the baseboard.

Step 4:
If bracket is on the drywall, screw the included self tapping wall anchors into the drywall in the marked locations. If bracket location is on the baseboard or other wooden surface proceed to step 5.
Warning!
Always check for live wires with AC sensor before driving screws into the drywall!

Step 5:
Hold the bracket in position and drive the included mounting screws through the bracket hole and into the wall anchors. If on a wooden surface, drive screws directly into the wood.

Step 6:
Insert the tail piece of the MV-FLEX into the Wall Exit Point, line up the snap-lock profiles with the bracket spring arms and push to engage.

Step 7:
Using the supplied hose clamp, securely attach the Dryer-Side Union to a minimum length of transition duct sufficient to reach from the MV-FLEX Body to the dryer exhaust port in it’s installed position.

Step 8:
Securely attach the flexible duct to the Dryer Exhaust Port using supplied hose clamp.

Step 9:
Lift the Dryer-Side Union into proximity of the MV-FLEX Body allowing the powerful magnets to complete the seal. Installation Tip: Use a loop of string (c) or grabber tool to assist alignment if your vent is difficult to reach.

Step 10:
Plug dryer in and push into position. A quick visual inspection to verify proper seal and your done!
