GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR POWER TOOLS IN HOUSEHOLD USE

  • This glue gun is not intended for use by children and persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge. This glue gun can be used by children aged 8 or older and by persons who have physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience or knowledge if a person responsible for their safety supervises them or has instructed them in the safe operation of the glue gun and they understand the associated dangers. Otherwise, there is a danger of operating errors and injuries.
  • Supervise children. This will ensure that children do not play with the glue gun.
  • Children must not be allowed to clean and perform maintenance on the glue gun without supervision.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR GLUE GUNS

  • Do not allow persons unfamiliar with the glue gun or these instructions to operate the device.
  • Before each use of the unit, check the glue gun, cable and plug. If damage is detected, do not use the glue gun. Never open the glue gun yourself, and have repairs carried out only by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. Damaged glue guns, cables and plugs increase the risk of an electric shock.
  • Do not leave the switched on glue gun unattended.
  • Keep the glue gun away from rain or moisture.
  • The penetration of water into the glue gun increases the risk of an electric shock.
  • Do not touch the hot nozzle. Danger of burns. The mains plug of the glue gun must match the socket outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not misuse the cord to carry the glue gun, hang it up, or for pulling the plug out of the outlet. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
  • Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock. Have your glue gun repaired only through a qualified repair person and only using original replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
  • After use, place down the glue gun in a safe manner and allow it to cool down completely before packing it away. The hot nozzle can cause damage and/or burns.
  • Do not use the cable for pulling the plug out of the socket outlet. Keep the cable away from heat or oil. Damaged or entangled cables increase the risk of an electric shock.

FOR THE CHARGER

Intended use
This glue gun has an integrated lithium-ion battery, which you can charge with the included USB charging cable (USB-mains adapter not included)

  • The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
  • Children being supervised not to play with the appliance
  • Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries! During charging, batteries must be placed in a well ventilated area!
  • Integrated batteries may only be removed for disposal by qualified personnel. Opening the housing shell can destroy the power tool. To remove the battery from the power tool, press the On/Off switch (6) until the battery is fully discharged. Unscrew the screws on the housing and remove the housing shell in order to remove the battery. To prevent a short circuit, disconnect the connectors on the battery one at a time and then isolate the poles. Even when fully discharged, the battery still contains a residual capacity, which can be released in case of a short circuit.

RESIDUAL RISKS
Even when the power tool is used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk factors. The following hazards may arise in connection with the power tool’s construction and design:

  • Health defects resulting from vibration emission if the power tool is being used over longer period of time or not adequately managed and properly maintained.
  • Injuries and damage to property to due to bro-ken accessories that are suddenly dashed.
