Initial use
- Remove the packaging.
- Check the device, main part, and main cable for damage.
- Insert the mains cable connector plug into the mains part socket on the device.
- Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.
Use
Note
- Do not use the Achillomed® for longer than 15 minutes a day. Longer messages can lead to over-stimulation of the Achilles tendon, creating tension instead of aiding relaxation.
- The Achillomed® features an automatic switch-off function, which is set to the maximum operating duration of 15 minutes. If you change the message speed or direction during the application, the automatic switch-off timer starts again from the beginning (15 minutes).
- You can use the Achillomed® with bare feet or with socks on. To ensure an optimal massage effect, we recommend that you use the Achillomed® with bare feet.
To start the application with the Achillomed®, proceed as follows:
-
Plug the mains part into a suitable socket. Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.
-
Place the Achillomed® on a raised surface. Ensure that the Achillomed® is positioned roughly at the height of your seat (e.g. chair or sofa).
-
Sit down on the chair (or any kind of seat) in front of the positioned Achillomed®.
WARNING Trip hazard! Never use the Achillomed® when standing up. -
Press the button on the Achillomed®. The massage heads start to rotate.
WARNING Danger of crushing! Do not force or jam your hands, fingers or hair between the rotating massage heads. -
Position your leg carefully with the Achilles tendon to be treated on the Achillomed ®. Ensure that your Achilles tendon is in the centre between the rotating massage heads. The massage should feel pleasant and relaxing at all times. If the massage is
painful or uncomfortable, stop the massage or change the position of your foot. You can individually adjust the position of your foot using the footrest with height and width adjustments. You can place your other leg on top of the leg being treated. This way, you can also regulate the massage intensity. -
To change the massage direction, press the button. Depending on the massage direction, the left or right LED of the button lights up.
If you press and hold the button for half a second, the Achillomed® switches to a massage programme. The left and right LEDs of the button light up. The massage direction is now controlled automatically. Press the button to switch the automatic massage programme off again. -
To increase the massage speed, press the button again. Pressing the button again switches the Achillomed® off.
Note We recommend that you start with the lower massage speed so that you get used to the Achillomed® gradually.
