VARIABLE SPEED FUNCTION
YOUR POLISHER SPEED CAN BE CHANGED BY PLACING THE SPEED SELECTOR TO A GIVEN NUMBER SETTING FROM 1 TO 6 (FIG. 8).
THE HIGHEST SPEED IS OBTAINED WHEN YOU PLACE THE SELECTOR ON THE POSITION 6, THE LOWEST SPEED IS OBTAINED WHEN
YOU PLACE THE SELECTOR ON POSITION 1.
THE FOLLOWING TABLE ESTABLISHES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE SIX POSITIONS ON THE SPEED SELECTOR AND THE CORRESPONDING AVERAGE POLISHING SPEEDS. -
POLISHER OPERATION
HOLD YOUR POLISHER FIRMLY AND TURN IT “ON”, OPERATE THE POLISHER FOR AT LEAST 20 SECONDS BEFORE POLISHING TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MACHINE IS RUNNING AT A DESIRABLE SPEED. THEN, APPLY THE POLISHER PAD ONTO THE WORKPIECE. IN GENERAL, KEEP THE POLISHER PAD AT AN ANGLE OF ABOUT 15 DEGREES TO THE WORKPIECE SURFACE WHICH WILL ALLOW YOU TO WORK MORE EFFICIENTLY (FIG. 9).
WHILE WORKING. CONTROL YOUR PRESSURE AND MOVE THE POLISHING PAD CIRCULARLY. A LIGHT PRESSURE ACCOMPANIED BY A CIRCULAR MOTION OF THE POLISHING PAD WILL ALLOW YOU TO REMOVE MOST SCRATCHES AND RESTORE WEATHERED FINISHES.
