vikings MCF-D5 Industrial Ethernet Media Converter

Overview

This Media Converter is designed to convert 10/100Mbps (MCF-D5) or 10/100/1000Mbps (MCG-D5) Ethernet data over optical fiber through selectable SFP module options. It supports 100Mbps or 1000Mbps (MCG-D5 only), Singlemode or Multimode, 1 or 2 fiber cores SFP modules.

Installation

  • To install Media Converter on a DIN rail, lock the upper part of the DIN rail clip on the upper side of the DIN rail and then gently press it until the clip is securely locked on the track.
  • Connect your network device to the RJ45 Ethernet port with a network cable.
  • Insert the appropriate and matching SFP module into the SFP port. Connect the fiber cable to SFP module fiber port.
  • Connect your power supply (12-48VDC range) to green 2pins power terminal block. Follow marked polarity.
  • After the device is powered on, the PWR indicator will be on. If the indicator is not on, check the power supply and its connection. If all cables are correctly connected, the indicators will lit as per LEDs status.
