Operation

  1. Screw the telescopic tubei (1) with the internal thread to the pump thread (2)
  2. Loosen the clamp (3) of the telescopic tube and set it to the required height of the storm sewer or barrel.
  3. If you want to pump over water from deeper tanks (max. 5 m), interlace the rope through the carrying handle.Put the pump to the storm sewer so that the stop valve (4) protrudes over the edge of the storm sewer. When the pump is being operated, the stop valve (4) works as a water cock

Using the barrel pump

Area of use: The barrel pump has especially been designed to pump over rain water from storm sewers. It is ideal to be used as a watering equipment and to fill water reservoirs (barrels) or to be used as a watering can using the stop valve (4) on the telescopic tube.
Tip: If 19 mm (3/4“) hoses are used, an accordingly higher water pressure (higher watering capacity) in the watering equipment may be expected, which is caused by the slight loss of friction in the hose.

Telescopic tube

The telescopic tube may be set to 62 or 91 cm. The pump can therefore be adjusted to various barrel depths. With the clamp curvature, the pump may be hung to the storm sewer. Deposited dirt from the storm sewer do not get to the pump in this way

Safety instructions for the operator

CAUTION: The pump starts immediately after being plugged!
The appliance to be used only after the Operating Instructions have carefully been read.
Safety instructions included in these Operating Instructions must be followed. Behave responsibly to other persons

Step-by-step instructions

  • Connect the telescopic tube with the pump
  • Put the clamp to the required height Plunge the pump to the container with water and close the stop valve
  • Plug the pump
  • Water may be pumped by opening the stop valve

Inspections and servicing

Caution: Unplug the pump before any work on the appliance!

Filter cleaning

The barrel pump is maintenance-free. It comprises an integrated filter preventing pump and related appliances from getting dirty. The filter must be checked from time to time, depending on the water pollution level and cleaned if necessary as follows:

  • 1. Unscrew the filter cover (8).

  • 2. Remove the filter insert (pic. B arrow)

  • 3. Wash the filter insert with hot water and refit it.

  • 4. Screw the filter cover again.
Caution: Pump body screwing is sealed. Any work on the electrical equipment may only be performed by the technical service centre.

  • If there is a risk of icing, put the pump to a dry place.

  • For repair purposes, the pump must be sent to a customer service centre, except for the cases specified below

Safety instructions for inspections and servicing

Before any work on the pump and servicing the pump, it is always necessary to interrupt the current supply (unplug the appliance) and make sure the pump is not able to start unintentionally.
Only an appliance regularly services and treated may be a satisfactory assistant. Inappropriate servicing and care may lead to unpredictable accidents and injuries
