A: Yes, Amgico clock included power cord does plug into an electrical outlet. The batteries power the memory feature so that when AC power is restored all settings are saved.

A: The battery just for setting backup memory. The clock wouldn’t work
when using only batteries. The clock must plug into outlet power, and put into
3*AAA battery to memory your setting, otherwise the setting will be reset.

A: To setting the time and date, press and hold the ‘TIME’ button until
the year is blinking, then press the ‘UP’ or ‘Down’ button until the right
year is displayed. And press the ‘TIME’ button to advance to the month and use
the ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons to select the right month. Repeat pressing the
‘TIME’ button and ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons to set the day, hour and minutes.
