Let’s start selling
Connect your reader
- Download the Shopify POS app from either the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Open the app. Sign up or log in to your Shopify store.
- Press the Power button on the reader to turn it on. We recommend fully charging the reader before your first day of selling.
- In the Shopify POS app, go to Settings> Set Up Hardware, then select Card Reader> Tap & Chip to pair.
After it’s successfully connected, your reader is ready to accept its first payment.
Accept payments
Make sure the reader is on and connected, then use the Shopify POS app to start the checkout process.
Power and battery
Press the Power button to turn on the reader and check the battery level.
The reader does not need to be turned off. When not charging, it’ll turn itself off after 8 hours of inactivity.
