Introduction

These are excellent wireless earbuds with good music quality, simple controls, and a comfy design. They function great for taking calls or playing music with my phone (a Galaxy S9). The memory foam tips are really comfy and work a lot like earplugs. JVC Black athletic running headphones include an integrated running coach, sweat- and water-resistant earbuds, and a microphone. The “Pivot Motion fit” earpieces from JVC provide a snug and pleasant fit while preventing the headphones from falling out.

Charging

• When charging the headphones, be sure to use a USB to AC adapter with DC 5 V power output to avoid malfunction or abnormal heat generation.
• Use only the supplied charging cable to charge the System.
• Using the supplied charging cable, connect the System and a commercially available USB conversion adapter or a computer while the computer is on

1. Open the cover.
2. Connect the charging cable provided to start charging
   Insert the USB AC adapter into the AC outlet to start charging
   The indicator lights up in red, and charging starts.
   The charging time is Approx. 3 hours. When charging is complete, the indicator goes out.
   Operation is not possible while charging.
   The System cannot be charged when the temperature protection function is in operation. In that case, perform charging within the usage temperature range (5 °C (41 °F) to 40 °C (104 °F)).

Pairing

1. Check that the indicator is turned off.

2. Press and hold Maru until the indicator repeatedly flashes red and blue quickly and alternately.
   Release your finger once you confirmed that the indicator is repeatedly flashing red and blue quickly and alternately.
   If the indicator does not flash red and blue quickly and alternately (flashing in red for example), refer to Power Off to turn off the power, then press and hold Maru again.

3. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the BLUETOOTH device.

4. Select “JVC HA-ET65BV” from the device list.
   The indicator flashes slowly in blue when a connection is completed.

Note

• During the pairing process, the BLUETOOTH device may require the input of a PIN code. In such a case, enter “0000” as the PIN code for the System.
• If the connection (pairing) is not completed within 5 minutes after the indicator starts flashing, the System automatically turns itself off.

Phone operation

Answering the call
Press the button once quickly when receiving the call.

Ending the call
Press the button once quickly during the call.

Rejecting a call
Press for about 1 second when receiving the call.

Switch the call between headphones and a smartphone
Press Maru for about 1 second during the call.

Using voice assistant function (Siri etc)
Press Maru for about 1 second when not using the phone function.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why won’t my JVC wireless headphones pair?

Make sure the Bluetooth device is within one meter of the system when pairing. On the Bluetooth device, turn pairing on. Reset pairing by erasing the pairing data from the Bluetooth device list. After turning the connected device’s Bluetooth feature off and back on, perform operations.

How can I make my JVC earbuds louder?

Press the R earphone button twice fast to increase the volume. Press the L earphone button twice fast to reduce the volume.

How long does it take a JVC earbud to charge?

They take an hour or less to fully recharge after I use mine for 6-7 hours. Once they are fully charged, the little led next to the play button goes off.

How are JVC wireless earbuds charged?

Take the charging case apart. 2 Correctly and firmly insert the L and R earphones into the charging case. While charging, the earphones’ red indicator illuminates and the white indicators on the charging case flash or light up.

Toggle the listed headphones. Pull down the phone’s top shade on an Android device, then long-press the Bluetooth icon. It will immediately take you to the Bluetooth menu, where you may enable it and then start looking for devices. To link a pair of headphones, tap their name.

How are JVC earbuds turned off?

For roughly three seconds, constantly press the button on either the L or R earphone. When both indicators turn red, let go of your fingers. The power is turned off and the indication light turns off.
