• Will this sensor work with gen 2 nests?
  No, it is not compatible with Nest Gen 2.

• I have 4 zones with 4 separate thermostats and hot water circulating pumps. How many nests or sensors would I need? One of the zones is for hot wate r?
  Only 6 thermostats can be used per nest.

• Is this also acting as a motion sensor?
  No, it doesn’t act as a motion sensor.

• How does this even work if the vents are everywhere, how can it push cold air into a certain room only?
  Cold air will still be pumped on every vents. Everything about your system will function normally, but instead of reading the temperature from the thermostat, it will read the temperature from the sensor. You may pick where your thermostat measures the temperature in your house with the Nest Temperature Sensor. The information from your sensor will be used by the Nest thermostat to govern when your system turns on and off. During certain times, your thermostat will ignore its own built-in temperature sensor.

• Can I turn off the temperature sensor in the Nest Gen 3 unit and use this remote sensor only to trigger my heat or air?
  Yes, you can turn off the temperature sensor in the Nest Gen 3 unit.

• Does this work with the 1st generation thermostat?
  No, it doesn’t work with 1st Generation thermostat.

• Can I set up it as an outdoor temperature sensor?
