Important Safeguards
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
CAUTION Risk of burns!
Hot surfaces. The surface of the lid can get very hot.
- Do not touch hot surface; use the handle. Be aware of the steam being emitted from the spout or lid, especially during refilling. Do not remove the lid during the boiling cycle.
- Close supervision is necessary when the product is near children.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving the product with hot water.
- If the product is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
- Do not place the kettle over heating sources that are larger than the bottom of the kettle, as this may damage the kettle.
- Pour out hot water carefully! Hot individual droplets may flow back onto the side wall during pouring.
- Do not heat the kettle without water. This will cause overheating and damage to the kettle. If the product proves to be unsatisfactory, ensure that the product is clean and it is properly placed on the heating source.
This symbol identifies that the materials provided are safe for food contact and comply with European Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004.
Intended Use
- This product is intended for boiling clean fresh water only. It is intended for household use only. Do not use the product with other liquids or food items.
- For optimal energy use, the hob ring should be the same size as the base of the kettle and it should be placed in the center of the ring.

Before First Use
DANGER Risk of suffocation!
Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets – these materials are
a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
- Remove all packaging.
- Before initial use, wash the inside of the kettle with warm water and dishwashing liquid and rinse thoroughly.
- Fill the product with clean water, bring it to a boil and then discard the water.
Operation

Remove the lid (C) to fill the kettle up to the lower edge of the spout (D).

Ensure that the lid (C) and the spout lid (E) are closed tightly after filling.
NOTICE Always place the kettle in the middle of the hob. This should be smaller than or the same size as the base kettle. -
Place the kettle on a suitable heat source and switch on the heat source on medium flame or temperature setting.

A whistling sound from the spout lid (E) indicates the water has finished boiling.

Before pouring, wait for a short while until water no longer boils and then carefully open the spout lid (E) with the lever (A) on the handle.
CAUTION Risk of burns!
Risk of scorching from rising steam. If necessary, use suitable hand
protection!
Cleaning and Storage
- Allow the kettle to cool down before cleaning. Do not use steel wool or scouring sponges, instead use cloths, washing brushes or soft sponges.
- Stubborn stains may be removed with a soft nylon brush.
- Store away from children and pets, ideally in a cabinet.
- Do not place the kettle in the dishwasher.
- Avoid any vibrations or shocks.
- Use some washing-up liquid or a gentle amount of lime remover on the bottom and the container to maintain the kettle’s efficiency.
