Montarbo Active DI-BOX

The MDI-2A
active DI-BOX is mainly used on the stage, for optimal management of
unbalanced signal from high-impedance instruments such as keyboards, guitar
pick-ups and electric basses. A gain reduction PAD [0, -20, -30 dB] and a
GROUND to eliminate any ground return hum can be applied to the two balanced
output signals, thanks to the internal active circuits. The front connectors
are compatible with both classic 6.3 mm TRS jacks and RCA connectors. It is
also possible to take repetitions of the input signals through the convenient
THRU connectors on the front panel.

3-position dimming selector [0 dB -20 dB -30 dB] applicable to LEFT and RIGHT channel. -
LEFT/RIGHT INPUT
Unbalanced signal input on connector:
TRS The relevant electrical connections are: Tip = + “warm” positive
Sleeve = screen or mass
RCA The relevant electrical connections are: Tip = + “warm” positive
Sleeve = screen or mass. -
LEFT/RIGHT THRU
Unbalanced signal output, repetition of LEFT input, on connector
TRS The relevant electrical connections are: Tip = + “warm” positive
Sleeve = screen or mass.
BACK

4 RIGHT
Balanced signal output on XLR connector. -
5 GROUND
Press this key (LIFT) to interrupt ground connection between input and output. Use this function to solve ground loops or hums. -
6 BATTERY
Press this key to power the unit with a 9V DC battery. The adjacent LED is steady ON during battery operation. -
7 LEFT
Balanced signal output on XLR connector

Open the door and insert the 9V DC battery (not included).
NOTE: disconnect the battery from the connection terminals in case of prolonged inactivity.
