INTRODUCTIONS

Thank you for purchasing a Montarbo product, the Italian company founded in 1962, and since then serving music and audio. The unique and state of the art Montarbo products are designed with the utmost attention to detail and durability. The MDI-2P DI-BOX is mainly used on the stage, for optimal management of unbalanced signal from high-impedance instruments such as keyboards, guitar pick-ups and electric basses. A gain reduction PAD [0, -20, -30 dB] and a GROUND to eliminate any ground return hum can be applied to the two balanced output signals. The front connectors are compatible with both classic 6.3 mm TRS jacks and RCA connectors. It is also possible to take repetitions of the input signals through the convenient THRU connectors on the front panel.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

FRONT CONTROL PANEL

1. LEFT/RIGHT PAD
   3-position dimming selector [0 dB -20 dB -30 dB] applicable to LEFT and RIGHT channel.

2. LEFT/RIGHT INPUT
   Unbalanced signal input on connector:
   TRS The relevant electrical connections are:
   Tip = + “warm” positive
   Sleeve = screen or mass
   RCA The relevant electrical connections are:
   Tip = + “warm” positive
   Sleeve = screen or mass.

3. LEFT/RIGHT THRU
   Unbalanced signal output, repetition of LEFT input, on connector
   TRS The relevant electrical connections are:
   Tip = + “warm” positive
   Sleeve = screen or mass.

BACK CONTROL PANEL

• 4. RIGHT
  Balanced signal output on XLR connector.

• 5. GROUND
  Press this key (LIFT) to interrupt ground connection between input and output. Use this function to solve ground loops or hums.

• 6. LEFT
  Balanced signal output on XLR connector.
