POWER AND BLUETOOTH™ SPEAKER OPERATION
-
To charge the Outdoorsman’s internal lithium-ion battery, connect a smartphone or tablet’s USB charger (any 1A or 2A rated USB charger) to the “IN” micro USB port (1) on the Outdoorsman. The battery is fully charged when the Outdoorsman’s Indicator Ring
(10) turns green. A fully charged battery will provide approximately 10 hours operating time at a normal, moderate volume level. Low power is indicated by a flashing orange ring. When the battery charge drops below 3% remaining, the Outdoorsman will power off automatically. -
The “OUT” micro USB port (2) can be used to recharge your phone if necessary while away from other power sources. Note: using the Outdoorsman to recharge mobile devices will reduce the battery level and operating time of the Outdoorsman.
-
Hold the Power button on the Outdoorsman (6) until the startup sound is heard and indicator light will blink fast orange.
-
Make sure the Outdoorsman is within 10meters/32 feet from your mobile device. Activate Bluetooth® on your portable device and select “Outdoorsman” from list of available devices. Once paired, the indicator light will be solid orange and music from your portable devise will be heard on the Outdoorsman.
-
To disconnect the currently paired device, press Plus and Minus buttons simultaneously. The indicator light will blink fast orange, indicating the device has been disconnected, and the Outdoorsman is ready to pair with a new device. Note: when powered on, the Outdoorsman automatically reconnects to the last mobile device it was paired with. The Outdoorsman can memorize up to 8 paired devices. The Outdoorsman will shut off after 10 minutes in pairing mode if no devices have been paired, as a power saving feature.
-
Use the Plus (3) and Minus (4) buttons to adjust speaker volume up or down. Press the Play button (5) to pause music, press again to resume. Press and hold the Plus button to advance to the next track. Press and Hold the Minus button to start a track over from the beginning.
-
The Outdoorsman has a microphone which allows you to take incoming calls. To answer an incoming call, press the Play button. To reject an incoming call, Press and hold the Play button. To end a call, press Play. To redial the last called number, press and hold the Play button.
TRUE WIRELESS STEREO CONNECTION OPERATION (requires two Outdoorsman
speakers)
TWS technology enables you to use two Outdoorsman speakers, pairing via
Bluetooth to create a wireless dual-channel system to deliver a true stereo
effect with a left and right channel.
True Wireless Stereo Connection and Operation:
- Place two Outdoorsman speakers near each other, not more than ten meters apart.
- Power on the two Outdoorsman speakers.
- Your portable device will automatically connect with the Speaker that was last used. Then, disconnect that Speaker from the Bluetooth device list on your portable device.
- Double press the power button on the Speaker that was previously connected to your portable device. This Speaker will be your Left Channel (main Speaker). A confirmation tone will play when connected in TWS mode successfully. The LED indicator light should be blinking orange on the main Speaker.
- Reconnect the Outdoorsman speaker via Bluetooth on your portable device.
If you’re having issues connecting both speakers in TS, make sure your Bluetooth connection is off before pairing to the main Speaker.
DISCONNECT THE TRUE WIRELESS STEREO CONNECTION
Press + and – buttons on one of the speakers simultaneously until the LED
indicator light is blinking fast orange light.
POWER BANK FEATURE
- Lift the “Out” port cover.
- Plug the USB-A cable to the USB out port on a speaker and charge a portable device. If the Speaker is on, it will automatically start charging. If the Speaker is off, press the power button to turn on the Speaker to use the charging feature.
Note: The power bank function will automatically shut down after 10 seconds if the Speaker is off and no device is connected to be charged.
CHANGE EQ MODE
Double press Play button to change the sound mode. The LED indicator light
will slowly blink orange in outdoor mode and keep solid orange in indoor mode.
NFC FEATURE
Enable your device’s NFC feature, if equipped, and place your device near the
NFC chip on the BT speaker. Then, follow the instructions on your device. If
the connection is established successfully, your device and the BT speaker
will be connected automatically.
IPX6 WATER RESISTANT FEATURE
This Speaker is equipped with IPX6 technology that makes it water-resistant
but not waterproof. Therefore, the Speaker should never be submerged in water
or liquid. Remove all cable connections and close the port covers tightly
after charging and before use.
Important Note : All cables must be disconnected and the port tabs must
be properly closed for the Speaker to be water-resistant.
RESETTING THE SPEAKER
If the function buttons are not working, disconnect the charging cable, place
a small pin into the reset hole, and hold for two seconds until the LED light
is off.
CLEANING AND GENERAL CARE
