Unfolding Clever Cane
Clever Cane has a wrist strap that keeps the sections of the cane together when the cane is folded up. To unfold the cane, first unfasten the wrist strap (3). Grasp the handle (1), hold it up and let the sections of the cane (2) unfold by the force of gravity.

IMPORTANT: To prevent falls, always ensure that all of the cane sections (2) are perfectly aligned and locked in place (see Figure B) and the cane is stiff.
CAUTION: Uncontrolled release of the elastic cord (4) inside the cane can cause severe injury to unprotected body parts, particularly the eyes. If the elastic cord (4) breaks, becomes damaged or wears out, stop using the product. Do not stretch the elastic cord (4) more than is necessary to unfold or fold up the cane (2).

Adjusting the length to suit your needs
There are five different length settings. To make it longer, hold down the length adjustment button (5) as shown in Figure C, pull up on the handle and release the adjustment button to let it lock into a lower slot. To make the cane shorter, hold down the length adjustment button (5), push down on the handle and release the adjustment button to let it lock into a higher slot.

Using the LED-light
An adjustable light (6) is located at the end of the handle (1). To turn the light on and off, press the light switch (7) on the cane handle (1). The light pivots up and down so you can point it in the direction you wish.
Using the alarm in emergency situations
To turn the alarm on and off, press the alarm switch (10) located at the head part of the cane handle.

Folding up Clever Cane
To store the cane, separate the sections as shown in Figure D and group them together. Fasten them with the wrist strap (3). Secure the sections with the fasteners at each end of the strap. When not in use, store Clever Cane in a dry room and protect it against extreme moisture, heat, lint, dust, and direct sunlight. Never place any heavy objects on the Clever Cane during storage.

Insert and change batteries
Clever Cane operates with 2 AAA batteries (not included). The battery compartment (8) is located at the end of the handle, open it and insert or change batteries. The typical continuous service life of a new and unused batteries are 10 hours. Check the battery condition and insert them correctly inside the battery compartment, if it LED light and alarm did not work properly. When using the product, never touch the batteries simultaneously. Please remove the batteries if it is not in use for more than 3 months.

  • As an intended operator for the Clever Cane, read this manual before using Clever Cane for the first time.
  • Always consult your doctor before using Clever Cane. The product is not for medical use.
  • Clever Cane is a type BF applied part product. It is a continuous operation type of medical device. It is not intended to be sterilized and not for use in an oxygen rich environment.
  • Advised operation environment is -10 to 45 °C, 20%-100%RH, and 50-106kPa.
  • Advised storage and transport environment is -20 to 65 °C, 10-100%RH, and 50-106kPa.
  • Never disassemble the body (with elastic cord) of the cane.
  • Warning: modification of this equipment is NOT allowed.
  • Not suitable for skiing.
  • This product does not aim to be a walking aid as per EN 1985 (on hiking sticks).
  • Do not use the cane if it is defective.
  • Not intended for persons over 105kg.
  • The product complies with Electromagnetic disturbances requirement according to standard IEC 60601-1-2:2014.
  • Warning: portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the Clever Cane, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, degradation of the performance of this product could result.
  • The device can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Use lukewarm water and a non-abrasive liquid household cleaner.
  • Keep the Clever Cane out of the reach of young children and pets. The elastic cord of the product can cause strangulation, also to avoid inhalation or swallowing of small parts.
  • Please dispose the device, batteries and packing with respect to the environment and in accordance with the legal obligation in your area.
  • f you are allergic to plastic and or rubber, please don’t use this device.
  • Expected service life: 5 years.
  • If you have any problems with this device, such as using, maintaining, unexpected or events occur, please contact with SERVICE PERSONNEL of Your Products International via info@yourproducts.eu. Never open or repair the device by yourself.
