DOREMiDi RTP MIDI-3 USB MIDI Network Box Gateway Midi Devices

Introduction

RTP MIDI-3 network box (RTP MIDI-3) is a gateway for MIDI devices. It can support up to 3 MIDI devices. It can connect devices with MIDI DIN interface or USB MIDI interface through Ethernet RTP-MIDI interface to communicate with computers on the network. Computers in the network, such as Windows, MacBook, mobile phones, etc., can communicate with RTP MIDI-3. In addition, the product can also be directly controlled by any other Ethernet RTP-MIDI devices, such as the main keyboard or DAW controller.

  1. POWER IN:Product power supply interface, use USB-B plug to supply power to the product, power supply voltage 5V/1A, with power indicator.
  2. USB HOST:USB host interface, through the USB-A plug, connect to MIDI devices with USB TO HOST, with working indicator .
  3. MIDI LAN:RTP MIDI Ethernet interface, through the network cable, connect to the Ethernet equipment, such as routers, switches, etc., with working indicators .
  4.  MIDI1-2: 2 x 2 MIDI input/output interface. The MIDI input interface of the product.
  5. connected to the MIDI output interface of the MIDI device, and the MIDI output interface of the product is connected to the MIDI input interface of the MIDI device.

Steps for usage

  1.  Power supply: Use a 5V USB adapter to supply power to the product through the “POWER IN” USB-B interface. (Note: The secondary interface does not have MIDI communication function)
  2.  Connect MIDI input/output devices: Use a standard five-pin MIDI cable to connect the MIDI IN of the MIDI device to the MIDI OUT of the RTP MIDI-3, and connect the MIDI OUT of the MIDI device to the MIDI IN of the RTP MIDI-
  3.  Connect a USB MIDI device: Connect a USB MIDI instrument through the “USB HOST” interface. After the connection is successful, the “USB HOST” indicator will light up.
  4.  Connect to LAN: Use RJ45 network cable to connect the “MIDI LAN” interface of RTP MIDI-3 to a WiFi router or network switch. (Note: RTP MIDI-3 and the control terminal must be in the same local area network.)

Precautions

  1.  This product contains a circuit board.

  2.  Rain or immersion in water may cause the product to malfunction.

  3.  Do not heat, press, or damage internal components.

  4.  Non-professional maintenance personnel are not allowed to disassemble the product.

  5.  The working voltage of the product is 5VDC, using a voltage lower or exceeding this voltage may cause the product to fail to work or be damaged.

  6. Q &A
    Question: Can the USB HOST interface provide power to USB MIDI instruments?
    Answer: You can supply power, but pay attention to whether the power input of “POWER IN” can meet the working requirements of the instrument.
    Question: The USB HOST interface does not work.
    Answer: Please follow the steps below:

    •  Ensure that the power indicator of “POWER IN” is on.
    •  Confirm that the instrument can work normally and the instrument’s USB interface is equipped with MIDI function (for example, the connection can recognize the MIDI device).
    •  Try to supply power to the product through “POWER IN” first, and then connect to the instrument through “USB HOST”, and see if the indicator light of “USB HOST” lights up.
    •  If the “USB HOST” indicator still doesn’t light up, or MIDI messages cannot be transmitted after it’s on, please contact customer service to solve it.
    • Question: The MIDI OUT/IN interface does not work.
      Answer: Please follow the steps below: Make sure that the “MIDI OUT” of the product is connected to the “MIDI IN” of the musical instrument, and the “MIDI IN” of the product is connected to the “MIDI OUT” of the musical instrument.
      Question: MIDI LAN does not know how to connect to the network.
      Answer: Configure MIDI network: refer to “DOREMiDi Network MIDI Configuration Manual V1.0.pdf” at www.doremidi.cn. If the problem is not resolved, please contact customer service.
