Cleaning the device

thanks for choosing an ICY BOX ® product.
With this robust ICY BOX ® KVM switch you can easily connect two independent
PCs to one monitor and one set of keyboards and mice. This saves space,
nerves, and time. In addition, you can use two more USB 2.0 Type-A ports to
connect additional USB devices such as external storage devices or other
useful peripherals to both computers. Switching between the two PCs is very
easy with the hotkey function on the keyboard or by double-clicking with the
mouse.
This KVM switch is suitable for two independent computers with HDMI ® video
outputs and available USB Type-A and audio ports.

Installation
- 1. Switch off all connected devices.
- Connect your computers to the KVM switch using the USB + audio cables.
- Connect the HDMI ® cables to both computers.
- Connect the monitor to the KVM switch with another HDMI ® cable (not included). ATTENTION! The HDMI ® cable and monitor must support Premium High-Speed HDMI ® to be able to reach the highest possible resolution of up to 4096×2160@60 Hz.
- Plug your mouse and keyboard into the corresponding USB mouse and keyboard port on the front panel.
- Plugin your speaker or microphone if needed.
- Switch on the KVM switch and then boot all devices.
- If desired, plug in the additional remote control switch and place it on your desk in the preferred position.
Usage
Switching
To switch between the two computers, use the white square button (1.) on the
front panel.
Hint: In addition, you can use further options to switch the computers:
- Via double-click on the scroll wheel of your mouse
- Via the hot-key function on your keyboard
- Via remote push button
Switch via mouse:
Double-click the scroll wheel of your mouse to switch from PC 1 to PC 2.
Switch via keyboard:
The default hot-key is the right “Ctrl” key on your keyboard. If there is
any conflict with another hot-key, the KVM hot-key can be changed to “Scroll
Lock” or “Num Lock” or the left “Ctrl” key.
General hint: Each key combination starts with a double-click of the
according hot-key (right/left Ctrl, Scroll lock, Num lock). For a successful
action, the keys of the key combinations must be pressed one after the other.
A simultaneous pressing of the (right and left Ctrl) keys is not possible!
Switch via the following key combination.

Push the remote button to switch from PC 1 to PC 2.
ATTENTION! The mouse and keyboard hot-key function can be turned ON and
OFF according to your requirements.
To turn OFF the mouse hot-key function, press the following keys: Hint:

After a “beep” sounds the mouse hot-key function is turned off.
To turn OFF the keyboard hot-key function, press the following keys: Hint:
Please use the right “Ctrl” key on the keyboard!
After a “beep” sounds the keyboard hot-key function is turned off.
Important: To turn ON the mouse/keyboard hot-key function, press the hot-
key button (2.) on the front side of the KVM switch. The hot-key LED (3.)
lights up green again.
Hot-key settings
Please press the following key combinations for hot-key change:
Hint: Please use the right “Ctrl” key on the keyboard!
Hot-key change to “Num Lock”: Hot-key change to “Scroll Lock”:
Hot-key change to left “Ctrl” key:
ATTENTION: After one of these changes, all hot-key functions must be
executed with the corresponding hot-key you have selected (Ctrl, Scroll Lock,
Num Lock).
If the hot-key is changed to “Scroll lock” and you want to change to the left
“Ctrl” key, please use the following key combination:
To turn off the “beep” sound, please press the following key combination:
Restore the hot-key settings to default (right “Ctrl”):
Audio settings
The KVM switch has one 3.5 mm audio IN and one OUT jack for the speaker and
microphone. Connect audio devices according to your needs.
HDMI ® audio output is possible through the KVM switch as usual after
selecting the output device accordingly.
Please set up your display settings according to your operating system and
requirements. For detailed information, see the corresponding operating manual
and description of your operating system.
Troubleshooting
To solve possible problems, use the following key combinations:
