  • This Manual provides instructions on how to use this camera and its accessories.

Inserting battery and charging

  • Slide the battery into the camcorder, and then move the switch on the bottom into the lock position to lock the battery into place.
  • To charge the camcorder, connect it to a USB port using the supplied USB cable.
  • The red LED will flash whilst charging.
  • It will take approximately 4 hours for the camcorder to fully charge.
  • Once fully charged the red LED will stop flashing and stay on.

Inserting microSD card and turning on
With the camcorder off, remove the port cover on the side of the camcorder and insert the microSD card into the microSD slot. You will hear a click to indicate that the card has been inserted correctly.
Turn on the camcorder by moving the power switch on the front of the camcorder to the on position. The start-up AEE logo will appear on the screen. Once the top screen changes to the information display the camcorder is ready to use. Please note that the camcorder will become warm during use.

Recording

  • To start recording press the “ ” key on the front of the camcorder. The green LED of the camcorder will flash to indicate that it is recording.
  • To stop recording press the “ ” key on the top of the camcorder.

Snapshot
When you turn the camcorder on, it will be in video mode. To change to photo mode press the “ ” key on the top of the camcorder. The video logo on the information display will change to the camera logo. To take a snapshot press the ”  ” key again. The green LED will flash once.
To return to video mode press the “ ” key on the front of the camcorder.

Accessing the settings menu
Gently touch the screen in the preview state, Press “ ” to enter the main menu to select the desired function.
Press ‘ ” to go back to the preview state.

Download app
Download the app by visiting the App Store or the Play Store, searching for AEE and selecting Install.
Turn on the WiFi and connect to the app
To connect to the app you will need to turn on the Wifi on the camcorder. Turn the camcorder on and then move the WiFi switch on the front of the camcorder to the WiFi position. The blue LEDs of the camcorder will flash whilst the WiFi is on. Search for “AEE Magicam’ in your phone’s Wifi settings and select Connect. Please enter AEE12345 as the password. Open the app and click on the arrows to finish connecting.
Connecting to PC/Mac
To connect to a PC or Mac, attach the USB cable to the camcorder and the other end to your computer. Move the power switch to the on position. The camcorder will then appear as a removable disc in My Computer (PC) or on the desktop (Mac). You can then open the folder to view or drag and drop your files to save them to your computer.

Connection to Remote Control

  • Set the Wi-Fi mode of the camera to [STA]. Long press “M ” on the remote control for 3s to turn on the red power indicator, and the remote control will enter the auto search state.
  • When the remote control asks whether to connect more cameras, press “  to select “No” and press “  to confirm and finish the one-to-one connection.
  • If you select “Yes”, the remote control will auto-search for other cameras and finish the one-to-many connection.

Limited Warranty

AEE products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects one (1) year from the original date of purchase. AEE’s sole obligation in the event of such defects during this period is to repair or replace the defective part or product with a comparable part or product at AEE’s sole discretion. Except for such repair or replacement, the sale, processing or other handling of this product is without warranty, condition or other liability even though the defect or loss is caused by negligence or other fault. Damage resulting from use, accident, or normal wear and tear is not covered by this or any warranty. AEE assumes no liability for any accident, injury, death, loss, or other claim related to or resulting from the use of this product. In no event shall AEE be liable for incidental or consequential damages relating to or resulting from the use of this product or any of its parts. Because of possible user resealing errors, this product is not warranted against waterproof housing leakage or any resulting damage. Returns or replacements of parts and/or products may be subject to shipping, handling, replacement and/or restocking fees.
