  • Make sure the device has been de-energised prior to working on it

Cleaning the device

Installation

  1. Plug the USB cable with Type-C® host connector (6.) into the USB Type-C® host port (3.) of the card reader.

  2. Plug the USB Type-C® connector (5.) into a corresponding USB Type-C® port of your host computer. Optionally, plug the Type-A adapter (4.) into the Type-C® plug and connect it to a corresponding USB Type-A port on your host computer.
    Hint: The IB-CR404-C31 is backwards compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. Note that the full data transfer rate of up to 10 Gbit/s can only be achieved on a USB 3.1 (Gen 2) port. A USB Type-C®, as well as a USB Type-A connection, might be used for this purpose.
    Your host computer will recognize the card reader automatically without installing a driver.

  3. Insert your CFexpress™ Type B memory card into the CFexpress™ Type B slot (2.) at the front side.
