Introduction
The new Air Pods offer a reinvented wireless headphone experience. Simply remove them from the charging case and use them with your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac. Air Pods work like magic after a simple one-tap setup. They’re always switched on and connected. Air Pods can detect whether they’re in your ears and will pause when you remove them. Simply say “Hey Siri” and make your request to adjust the level, change the song, make a call, or even seek directions. When listening to music or podcasts, you can wear one or both Air Pods, and you can play or skip forward with a double-tap.
On a single charge, Air Pods provide 5 hours of listening time1 and 3 hours of conversation time. 2 And, owing to a charging case that carries numerous charges for more than 24 hours of listening time, they’re built to stay up with you. In just 15 minutes, you’ll have 3 hours of listening time4 or 2 hours of talking time in the case. 5 Air Pods use optical sensors and motion accelerometers to determine whether they’re in your ears, thanks to the all- new Apple H1 headphone chip. The H1 chip intelligently channels sounds and engages the microphone whether you’re wearing both Air Pods or just one. An additional speech-detecting accelerometer works with beamforming microphones to filter out external noise and focus on the sound of your voice when you’re on a call or chatting to Siri.
