Heater connection

Connect space heater to mains supply through plug. Be sure to mount plug correctly. The heater is designed to be powered by 400V/50Hz mains. Cable isn’t included.

ATTENTION! The power outlet must be equipped with a suitable grounding.

Heater installation

The heater should be installed in place where is not present flammable materials and no fire hazard occur. The place where risk of flooding or splashing with water occur is unsuitable. The device should be placed at minimum 50cm distance from the wall to ensure proper airflow. When mounting the device on a shelf or with wall mounting, place the heaters not lower than 180 cm from the floor, not less than 50 cm distance from side walls and the ceiling. Keep distance of 15 cm from the back of heater to mounted wall.

Operation

Switch on unit by adjusting the function selector switch (1) to the required position:

  1. heating 5kW
  2. heating 2.5kW
  3. fan mode
  4. switch off

The space heater is equipped with an adjustable thermostat. To set required temperature turn the thermostat regulator (2), heater runs automatically.

When room temperature set by the thermostat regulator (2) is reached, heating elements will be switched off. Fan continues working. When room temperatures drops down, units starts to heat automatically.

Heater in fan mode function selector switch position) forces the circulation of unheated air. The heating elements will not be switched on, regardless of thermostat regulator (2) settings.

Switching off

Before switching off the heater, it is recommended to cool down heating elements by turning function selector (1) to fan mode for a couple of minutes in order to cool the unit before switching off or before interrupting the mains supply.

Then the heater can be turned off by turning the function selector switch (1) to position 0 .

Inelco Dania 5kW heaters are protected against overheating and damage by thermal fuse.

When the temperature on heater outlet exceeds the safety level, thermostat will turn off the heating elements. Fan will be working. The most common reason for thermal fuse activation is loss of the power supply while the heater is on or switching off without cooling down during the heaters operation.

To deactivate thermal protection follow instruction below:

  1. Cool down the heater- wait couple of minutes.
  2. Press RESET button until „click” noise will be heard.
  3. Heater is ready to be used.

Maintenance

Regularly wipe the enclosure using a soft sponge or fabric. For very dirty parts, use a sponge wetted with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, then dry using a clean fabric.

Keep air inlet and fan free from dust and dirt. To clean inner parts, gently blow compressed air through air inlet.

Regularly inspect the power cable: if worn, cracked, damaged or if necessary have it replaced with new one.The repair should be done at the manufacturer’s authorized service center. Before storing the heater, make sure it is perfectly cool and dry. Cover the unit with a plastic bag. Store in original (or similar) box in a dry, ventilated place.

Do not cover — danger of fire!
Do not place the heater where inflammable materials may be placed on or near the heater!
Do not cover the heater, the heater must not be exposed to excess dust and humidity!
Do not use the heater outdoors in rainy weathers
Do not place the heater directly under a mains outlet!
Do not use the heater close or near to a bath, shower or swimming pool!
When the heater is not in use, it must be removed from fire hazardous rooms and should be stored in a dust-free room!

The space heater must only be disassembled by the manufacturer or a qualified service engineer!

This appliance is not designed for use by young children or people who cannot read or understand the manual unless they are under the supervision of a responsible person to ensure that they can use the heater safely. Store and use heater out of the reach of children, and ensure that children cannot play with it.
