CAUTION
Thank you for choosing Teexpert epoxy resin. Please read this manual carefully
before starting your project and be aware of these safety precautions:
- May cause eye and skin irritation. Do not swallow. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
- Operate in dust free environment with good ventilation and temperatures between 60-85°F. Always wear appropriate safety gear such as disposable gloves, respirators and safety goggles.
- Storage : Keep out of reach of children and pets. Keep the bottles sealed when not in use. Store in a dry place, preferably in a box, and out of direct sunlight. The ideal storage temperature range is 70-80°F.
- Shelf Life : 2 Years in unopened containers. Opened products are best used within 6 months.
- Disposal : Dispose of containers and contents in compliance with local, regional, national, and international regulations.
- Clean Up : Resin is extremely difficult to remove from clothing, carpets and other porous materials. Use in workshops rather than carpeted areas. While in liquid form, cleaning can be done with rubbing alcohol, mineral spirits, acetone, or other mild solvents.
- First Aid : In case of contact with skin, rinse with soap and water. In case of eye contact or ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. For more health information, you can contact poison control center for free at 1-800-222-1222.

APPLICABLE ITEMS
- Crafting river tables, live edge tables, ocean dioramas, and other large projects that require thicker pour depths.
- Preserving flowers, insects, souvenirs, and any moisture-free items.
- Creating jewelry, coasters, trays, pyramids, and various mold crafts.
Note: Not suitable for tumblers craft. 2:1 resin is best for thicker coatings or castings rather than surface adhesion.
HOW TO USE
STEPS
- Cleaning : Before use, clean the mold or object you are coating to remove dust, oil stains, or rust.
- Measuring : Mix two parts of Resin A to one part of Hardener B by volume. Pour hardener first and then resin.
- Mixing : Stir the mixture slowly in one direction until no swirls are visible. Stirring should take at least 5 minutes. Make sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container to ensure all resin and hardener are thoroughly blended. Failing to do so can result in softspots in your piece.
- Colouring (optional): Add pigments, mica powder, or other colorants and stir until thoroughly mixed. Do not exceed 6% of the total combined volume of resin and hardener.
- Pouring :
- Before pouring, let mixture stand for 5 minutes to reduce bubbles.
- Pour the clear liquid into a mold or over the object you are coating.
- Do it slowly to avoid introducing additional bubbles.
- Bubble removing : Use a torch or heat gun to remove remaining bubbles if needed.
- Curing : Allow at least 24 hours to demold and 72 hours to fully cure.
NOTES
- For large projects like river tables, please consider the following:
- For optimal results, work in layers when the project depth exceeds 3 inches and the resin volume exceeds 3 gallons. This ensures better heat dissipation and reduces the risk of cracking or warping.
- Maintain a room temperature of 68°F or lower for optimal curing. When working in unventilated areas, consider using fans or air conditioners to dissipate heat, but avoid direct airflow onto the resin surface to prevent ripples.
- For flower preservation, please consider the following:
- Ensure your flowers are thoroughly dehydrated and moisture-free. Any residual moisture can cause fading over time and create soft spots in the resin.
- Consider using drying agents and low-temperature methods to dehydrate your flowers before preserving them.
SAFETY STATEMENT
IDENTIFICATION
Teexpert deep pour epoxy resin is a two-component, two-to-one by volume, room
temperature curing epoxy resin system. It can be used for casting and coating
and cures to a crystal-clear, glass-like finish that resists scratching and
yellowing. To ensure safe handling and usage, please follow the manufacturer’s
instructions, work in a well-ventilated area, and wear appropriate protective
gear.

FAQ
How to measure a 2:1 ratio by volume?
To measure a 2:1 ratio by volume, use a measuring cup or mixing container with
clear markings. Do not measure by weight on a scale, as the resin and hardener
have different densities. First, pour the desired amount of hardener (part B)
into the measuring cup. Then, using the same measuring cup, pour twice the
amount of resin (part A) into the cup. The total volume should be three times
the amount of hardener originally poured. For example, if you pour 5 ounces of
part B, you will need to pour 10 ounces of part A to get the correct 2:1 ratio
by volume.
How to ensure proper curing?
Epoxy resin is a sensitive product, the reasons why it may not harden properly
are inaccurate measuring, under-mixing, moisture or wet inclusions, adding too
much colorants and unsuitable room temperature.
- Ensure that you measure the resin and hardener in a 2:1 ratio by volume to avoid off-ratio measuring, which is the main cause of this issue.
- Stir the mixture thoroughly, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the cup to release any unmixed resin.
- Moisture can also cause issues, so it’s important to work in conditions that aren’t too humid. When adding inclusions to the resin, ensure that they are completely dry before adding them.
- When using coloring dyes and pigments, add no more than 6% of the total resin volume. The less pigment you add, the better.
- Always use dyes and pigments that are specifically designed for use with resin. Do not use any water-based dyes or additives, which can prevent the resin from curing properly.
- For small projects, a room temperature of 75-85°F is ideal for optimal curing. However, when it comes to large projects like river tables, it is recommended to maintain a room temperature of 68°F or lower.
How to achieve bubble-free?
Air bubbles can occur due to stirring too fast, cold temperatures, pouring too
thick, or releasing trapped air. Here are some tips to help you avoid bubbles
:
-
Stir the mixture slowly in one direction to avoid producing bubbles. Stirring too fast can easily create bubbles in the mixture.
-
To accelerate the release of bubbles, place the mixed resin and hardener on a heating coaster or in hot water at around 140°F for 5 minutes before pouring. Alternatively, use a vacuum chamber to remove any air bubbles that may be present.
-
Use a lighter or heat gun to gently heat the surface of the resin from 2-3 inches away. Move the heat source back-and-forth over the resin to eliminate any air bubbles.
-
To remove large air bubbles, use a pin or needle to
puncture the bubble and release the trapped air. Do this before the resin starts to set or it can mar the finish. -
If you’re using silicone molds, you can warm them up in the oven before pouring the resin, as the warmth of the mold will help eliminate any bubbles.
-
When working in cold weather conditions, you can warm the resin before mixing it to reduce bubble formation.
How long does it take to fully cure?
Compared to other resins, 2:1 mix deep pour epoxy resin releases less heat and
typically takes 3-7 days to fully cure and reach maximum hardness.
- The curing time can vary depending on several factors, including the amount used, thickness of the layer, and environ- mental conditions such as temperature and humidity.
- The curing time is determined by heat and mass, with thin or small items requiring longer curing time, while larger or thicker pours generate more heat and can result in faster curing
- To ensure optimal curing, work within a specific temperature and humidity range of 60-85°F and below 50% humidity. High temperatures can cause the resin to cure too quickly, leading to potential issues like cracking, while high humidity can cause the resin to cure slowly and result in surface imperfections such as cloudiness or blushing. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions to a successful outcome for your project.
