48-Act-TL 4L80E Actuator Limit Valve Repair Kit
Step 1. Remove and discard the old Actuator valve and spring.
Step 2. Coat cut ting end of the reamer with light oil or
ATF. Slide shank end through the big end of the guide bushing.
Step 3. Insert guide bushing and reamer into the bore until
the bushing bottoms out. Install a vise grip as shown, just snug, to keep the
bushing from spinning.
Turn the reamer at a slow speed with the drill motor. Turn the valve body over
and blow out chips.
Step 4. Install a new oversize Actuator Valve and applicable
spring(s).

At 100,000 miles the ac tutor bore will be worn.
YOU can check it, but the best answer is just to FIX it.
Worn bore causes low pressure HOT. Clutch, band, and converter slippage, wrong
gear starts, mysterious burnup, and Codes 39, 85, and 68.
Boring guide and cutter make the FIX an easy 5 minute job. Special valve(s)
have 50% more linear support, and os ciliate less than half as much as the
original design. This virtually stops the wear and makes the valve body more
durable than a new one.
48-ACT-TL: Actuator Valve Repair Kit:
Includes: Bor ing Guide, Bor ing tool, 6 valves, and springs.
48-ACT-VL6: Re-fill: 6 Valves and Springs.
Look for wear: Move the valve back and forth slightly while
feeling up and down or side to side wiggle.
Don’t Faint, just fix it.
