INTENDED USE

The Griot’s Garage THE BOSS'” Foam Cannon is designed to be used as a cleaning tool. It combines a high-pressure flow of water mixed with air and a detergent to deliver rich clinging foam. Use in any unapproved manner or with inappropriate chemicals could lead to unsafe operating conditions.

  5. hands in order to control the reactive forces.

USAGE

A pressure washer featuring a minimum of 1.8 GPM flow and 1,100 psi or 1,980 CU (Cleaning Units = GPM x psi) is required for the cannon to function as intended.

Warning: Check to ensure the tool is compatible with your pressure washer’s operating specifications. Must not exceed the maximum pressure, flow, and temperature ratings of the product.

SETUP

Determine the adaptor type your equipment requires. We offer the two most common adaptors manufactured in fine stainless steel:

  • Stainless Steel Threaded Direct Adapter: Dual-threaded – M22-%M Item# 81240B
  • Stainless Steel Quick Disconnect Coupler: 11,” Male Item # 81240A

Both adapters feature pre-installed red pipe thread sealant. Simply thread into the cannon and securely tighten using a 14mm or 91is” Box Wrench.

DETERGENT DISPENSING METHOD

THE BOSS'” Foam Cannon features two detergent dispensing methods:

Auto-Mix Method Remove jar from cannon, pour the concentrate into a jar, or screw-on Griot’s Garage 35oz. bottle to internal cap threads. Select the appropriate metering tip from the chart on the back page and insert it snugly into the pick-up ball at the bottom of the poly tube.

Note: Tip will be dependent on the type of pressure washer you have. (See AUTO-MIX tip recommendation chart below)

Manual-Mix Method Dispensing of pre-mixed, ready-to-use (RTU) solution (Water: Detergent). This is the typical method, requiring the user to pre-mix a concentrate prior to use. Traditional products require 2-3 ounces of concentrate, while BOSS'” Foaming System products are to be diluted 20:1, using 1.6oz of concentrate to water (32oz). See the reference chart of common applications of Griot’s Garage products on the back page.

MAINTENANCE

Caution: With poor maintenance, failure may occur following one use. Following every use, prior to storage, rinse the cannon thoroughly with clear water. Rinse cup out and add clear water, then run cannon until foam ceases and Is no longer visible. Failure to thoroughly flush the cannon will lead to premature failure of the stainless steel foaming mesh.
SERVICE
Should the foam cannon’s foam output diminish or seize during normal operation, the Stainless Steel Foaming Mesh will require replacement. Use Griot’s Garage replacement parts only – THE BOSS™ Foam Cannon REBUILD KIT – Item# BFKIT.
