SELECT YOUR SPRAY NOZZLE
The Aero Air Can Sprayer comes with two spray nozzles.

  1. Fan spray nozzle is suitable for products where a fine mist spray pattern is desirable like spray detailers and cleaners.
  2. 6” Stream nozzle is for solvents, brake cleaners where a strong, narrow stream of chemical is desired.

It comes factory-equipped with the more commonly used Fan Spray Nozzle. To install alternative Stream Nozzle, remove red threaded collar by rotating counterclockwise and remove fan sprayer assembly from sprayer body. Insert Stream Nozzle Assembly into sprayer and thread red retainer collar by turning clockwise and tighten securely.

ADDING CHEMICAL TO AIR AERO CAN SPRAYER
CAUTION: Always Depressurize Sprayer Before Removing Any Parts. The pressure may be released from sprayer one of the two following ways:

  1. Tip the sprayer upside down and depress nozzle until no pressure is left. If some liquid is left in the sprayer when attempting this procedure make sure you aim the nozzle at a place where liquid can safely be dispensed.
  2. Slowly turn red threaded collar counterclockwise, releasing pressure via threads.

The can may be filled in two following ways:

  1. Fill at neck: remove red threaded collar by rotating counterclockwise and remove sprayer assembly from sprayer body. Using funnel, pour maximum of 7 ounces of chemical into sprayer. Reinstall spray nozzle assembly, then thread red threaded collar in a clockwise fashion and securely tighten.
  2. Fill at threaded mid-section: Firmly grasp top and bottom portions with opposing hands and turn counterclockwise. Unthread top section and fill bottom portion of sprayer with 7 ounces of chemical. Reinstall top portion by threading clockwise and turn until tightened.

PRESSURIZING AERO AIR CAN SPRAYER

Pressurize the sprayer with compressed air by firmly applying air chuck onto the sprayer’s Schrader valve assembly on the bottom of the canister. While holding the sprayer upright, depress valve on air chuck and insert air until you hear the line pressure equalize with the pressure in the sprayer. Working pressure ranges between 80 – 116psi. At least 80 psi is required to dispense the can’s contents without repressurizing. The sprayer features a pressure relief valve that will release pressure in excess of 116psi. An audible release of air will occur, leaving 116psi.
CAUTION: Never point the nozzle of sprayer towards yourself or others. Always point the nozzle of the sprayer away from yourself and towards the intended target before depressing the nozzle. Consult manufacturer’s SDS – Safety Data Sheet for specific personal safety protection including skin, eye, respiratory, and hearing requirements.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

The included sprayers nozzles should be considered “consumable” and not part of Griot’s Garage Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defect. It is considered normal maintenance and it is suggested to have a replacement sprayer rebuild kit on hand. The longevity of the sprayer assembly will depend on the product being sprayed and the amount of sediment or contamination that gets inside the sprayer while filling.
Prior to refilling sprayer, it is best practice to rinse out sprayer assembly with hot water multiple times to flush any remaining product or impurities. Follow previously mentioned instructions for disassembly.
