Introduction

These earbuds have been specifically designed for use in the loudest environments -allowing you to block out much of the surrounding noise so that you can listen to your music or talk on the phone with less interruption. This product has been tested and meets the ANSI & NIOSH standards for a hearing protector, with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 22 dB, and is designed such that you cannot damage your hearing, at any sound level. Full testing details are available in the Noise Attenuation section of this booklet.

Ear tips

• Choose the size that fits most snugly in your ear canal. Remember, the snugger the fit, the better the noise blocking.

Please note
ISOtunes• TRILOGY foam Ear tips have a threaded core and the sound port on the earbud is also threaded. To remove the foam Ear tip twist counter clockwise. To place on a new foam Ear tip twist clockwise.

ATTENTION
The silicone Ear tips have NOT been tested for noise reduction. They are included for use when hearing protection is NOT required.

Fitting

• Step 1) Carefully compress the foam Ear tip on the stem/sound port

• Step 2) Insert the Ear tip into your ear as deeply as is comfortable

• Step 3) Slightly rotate earbud until it is secure in the bowl of your ear

• Step 4) Make the earbud rest tightly next to your inner ear edge

Operating ISOtunes® FREE

Power ON/OFF

Method 1

• Power ON: Remove earbuds from the charging case.
• P ower OFF : Place earbuds into the charging case.

Method 2

• Power ON: In OFF MODE, press and hold MFB for 3 seconds on each earbud.
• Power OFF: In ON MODE, press and hold MFB for 6 seconds on each earbud.

Bluetooth Pairing

1. Power ON earbuds (see “Power ON/OFF” section)
2. Once in ON MODE, earbuds will automatically enter into pairing mode together.
3. Open your device’s Bluetooth settings and select either “ISOtunes FREE-L” or “ISOtunes FREE-A”. (Note: You only need to connect to one of these, not both)
4. Always accept ALL pairing request notifications for ISOtunes FREE.

Charging

Place earbuds into the charging case.

Battery Capacity Status
ISOtunes• FREE supports Bluetooth battery level indicator. This means that when connected to iOS devices, the battery power status can be seen in the upper right corner of the screen. Please use this as a guideline – there are many factors to battery level accuracy that influence this measurement.

IMPORTANT CHARGING INFORMATION

In order to ensure proper earbud performance, ONLY charge your ISOtunes• FREE earbud with a MAXIMUM 5 Volt charger. Using a charger higher than 5 Volts could be dangerous and may damage your ISOtunes• FREE product. Be especially careful with “quick charge” or ‘1urbo charge” chargers, which often supply 9, 12, or 15 Volts. Your ISOtunes• FREE cannot be charged at voltage levels above 5 Volts.

SafeMax™ Technology

ISOtunes• FREE incorporates SafeMax· Technology, therefore its volume output has been limned to 85 decibels because this is the maximum volume limit allowed by OSHA in the workplace over an 8-hour period. ISOtunes• devices with SafeMax• Technology are OSHA, NIOSH, and ANSI compliant.

Noise Attenuation
APPROVAL: ISOtunes• FREE is tested and approved in accordance with ANSI S3.19-1974 Specifications.

The level of noise entering a person’s ear, when ISOtunes• FREE headphones are worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR). Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Consult the enclosed instructions for proper fitting.

Example

1. The surrounding noise level measured at the ear is 97 dB.
2. The NRR of ISOtunes• FREE is 22 dB.
3. The noise level entering the ear is approximately equal to 75 dB.

Please note that the NRA is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of the protection attainable against impulsive noise, such as gunfire.

Noise Cancelling Microphone
ISOtunes• FREE features Noise Rejection Technology on the phone call microphone. This technology will reject background steady state noise such as a mower, drill, vacuum, and similar state noise products.

Guarantee

There is a one-year guarantee against defects in material and workmanship. The guarantee does not cover damage by misuse, abuse or unauthorized modifications.

Maintenance

• Clean your TRILOGY”‘ Foam Tips by gently wiping them  a clean, damp cloth. Use water only. Do not clean tips with alcohol-based cleaning solutions. Let tips dry completely before next use. To ensure peak performance, we recommend replacing TRILOGY”‘ Foam Tips every three months or when they become soiled.
• Replacement ear tips can be purchased directly from /SOtunes.com
• Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents to clean the headset.
• Avoid scratching the headset with sharp objects, as this may cause damage.
• Keep the headset away from high-temperature areas, humidity, and dust.

WARNING

ISOtunes• FREE does an excellent job of blocking outside noise. As such, ISOtunes• FREE should NOT be used in environments where users need to be fully aware of their surroundings for personal safety reasons. For example, do NOT use them while driving a car or riding a motorcycle. Similarly, do NOT use them when riding a bicycle outside. The user is solely responsible for ensuring that ISOtunes• FREE is used ONLY in safe environments.

  Yes, the earbuds are Bluetooth version 5.0.

• Will these still work (play music, etc.) if only one is worn and the other is in the charging case?
  Yes, one earbud can be used at a time.

• Can you swim with them ?
  No, it isn’t recommended to swim with them.

• When making a call is it clear?
  Yes, while taking calls the audio is clear.

• Do earbuds fit in a charging case with large tips on?
  Yes, the earbuds fit in the charging case with different ear tips on.

• Is there a carrying case for this item?
  Yes, the earbuds come with a charging case.

• Is there any way to turn off the flashing blue LED?
  No, there is no the way to turn off the blue flashing LEDs.

• Would these be good for Gaming?

• Yes, they would be fine for gaming. They provide good audio and have a decent battery life of 7 hours.

• How do you clean the foam tips?
  The foam tips are cleaned by gently wiping them with a damp cloth (use water only).

• Can they sync to two phones at the same time?
  Yes, they can be paired to multiple devices at the same time.

• Is a carrying case available to purchase separately?
  Yes, it can be purchased separately from their website.

• Can we activate Siri/Google Assistant using the earbuds?
  Yes, Siri/Google Assistant can be activated by pressing and holding the earbuds for about a second.

• Are you able to switch songs using the earpiece?
  Yes, double pressing the right earbud would take you to the next song and triple pressing it would take you to the previous song.
