TELETHINGS THERMOSTAT LORAWAN USER MANUAL
BASIC INFORMATION / PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Wireless thermostats and Receiving switch modules are devices intended for heating system management. Receiving switch module is directly connected with the heating system, and based on the information given from the server, the module performs heating system regulation by activating or deactivating the relay.
Advantages and main characteristics of the device are:
- A wireless thermostat is a small energy consumer
- A wireless thermostat can change the location (room) of the reading temperature
- The wireless thermostat shows the current temperature and set the temperature on display
- Wireless thermostat shows an indicator of communication with the server
- Devices can communicate on long distances
- Simple device installation
- Simple device handling
CONTENT OF THE BOX
In the picture, (Figure 1.) content of the box is shown. Small appearance deviations are possible in some components of the picture.
- Installation manual
- Wireless thermostat
- Receiving switch module
- 868 MHz antenna
- 2x screw and 2x plastic dowels

WIRELESS THERMOSTAT AND RECEIVING SWITCH MODULE MANUAL
- The room’s set temperature
- Radio connection indicator
- Empty battery indicator
- Room’s current temperature (°C)
- ON / OFF button
- Button „UP“, increases the set temperature by 1°C
- Button „DOWN“, and decreases the set temperature by 1°C
The device can be turned ON / OFF by pressing and holding the „Power“ button for 1 second. If the device was turned OFF, on the display it will be shown as in the picture (Figure 3. – left), and while holding the button for a 1-second display will turn ON. While turning it on, the display will look like the picture (Figure 3. – right)
Figure 3. Graphical representation of the display before and after turning the device ON Ukoliko Je bio ugašen na ekranu će bit
Pressing and holding the button „UP“ or „DOWN“, the device enters in the menu
for setting the temperature. Respectively, pressing the button „UP“ set
temperature increases by 1°C and decreases by 1°C if the button „DOWN“ is
pressed. In the picture (Figure 4.) graphical representation of setting the
temperature is shown.
The radio icon is an indicator of successful communication between
applications on the server and the device. The battery icon is an indicator of
the device’s low battery. When the battery icon appears, batteries must be
changed as soon as possible.
The transfer icon is an indicator of communication between the application on
the server and the device. While the transfer is in progress buttons are
unable to use. Press and hold the button to faster device response.
- Power connector
- Electronically controlled switch connector (Relay)
- AC connector – Positive (L)
- AC connector – Negative (N)
- Voltage-free (Dry) contact (Relay input)
- Violate-free (Dry) contact (Relay output)
- Antenna connector
- Device power indicator
- Relay activity indicator
LORA JOIN THE PROCEDURE FOR THE THERMOSTAT
To be able to communicate with the server and receive messages from the
server, LoRaWAN devices must complete the JOIN procedure with the server. The
JOIN procedure initiates automatically while the device is being turned on.
Upon sending JOIN request to the server, the display will look like the
picture (Figure 6. – left). If the device fails to JOIN with the server, ER
letters will appear on display, meaning there was an error while executing the
JOIN procedure (Figure 6. – middle). If the device successfully finished the
JOIN procedure, OK letters will appear on display (Figure 6. – right).
After the device has successfully finished the JOIN procedure, it can send and
receive messages from the server.
LORA JOIN PROCEDURE FOR RECEIVING SWITCH MODULE
After the device is turned on, a red LED will turn on. After ten seconds, the
JOIN procedure with the server will initiate. If the JOIN procedure has been
successful, both red and green LEDs will blink three times and then the red
LED will stay turned ON while the green one will turn off. Red LED is an
indicator of a successful JOIN procedure and if it’s on, it means that the
procedure has finished successfully. If the red LED continues blinking, it
means that JOIN procedure has failed. Green LED is an indicator of relay state
and if it’s on, it means that the relay is turned on.
After the device has successfully finished the JOIN procedure, it can send and
receive messages from the server.
RECOMMENDATION FOR USE
Due to the relevance and validity of measurement and regulation, wireless
thermostats should not be installed near heat sources, such as radiators,
furnaces, refrigerators, and other objects which can emit heat in their
immediate vicinity. Also, for the same reason, Home Sensor should not be
installed near windows or entrance doors. It’s not recommended to install
devices (Home Sensor and Control Box) on unstable surfaces or surfaces
which are exposed to vibrations, due to a possible fall of the device and
physical damage. Keep devices as far as possible from the impact of high
humidity and liquid sources due to possible damage to the device’s electronic
components. Keep the device out of reach of children.
SPECIFICATION

DEVICE INSTALLATION
Installation of the device receiving switch module should be done by a service
engineer or a licensed person.
Control Box installation directions:
- Turn off the power supply on the heating system (due to protection against possible electric shock)
- Twist the antenna (868MHz) on Control Box; on the connector designed for the antenna (Figure 6.)
- Connect heating system and receiving switch module with voltage-free (dry) contact/Connect heating system on electronically controlled switch (Relay) as shown in the picture (Figure 5.)
- Connect power supply on receiving switch module on AC power supply. The scheme of power supply is shown in the pictures (Figure 5. and Figure 7.), if possible use the power source for receiving the switch module from the heating system.
- Turn the heating system’s power supply on.

Wireless thermostat preparation guide:
- Disassemble Home Sensor (Figure 8.)
- Insert the batteries in the Home Sensor device (Figure 9.)
- Assemble Home Sensor in original condition
Changing batteries depending on the special installation, it is recommended to use alkaline AAA batteries. If the batteries over time become empty, an indicator of empty batteries will be shown on the display and the batteries should be replaced following these steps:
- Remove the housing of the thermostat by gently withdrawing it from the base.
- Take old batteries out and replace them with new ones. 3. Be sure to set symbols (+) and (-) correctly.
NOTE: Replacement of batteries is recommended once a year or if the thermostat will be unsupervised for a long time.
