HM 16 Thermo Hygrometer
Please read these instructions for use carefully and keep them for later use, be sure to make them accessible to other users and observe the information they contain.
Important notes:
-
Protect the thermo-hygrometer from knocks, dampness, dust, chemicals, drastic changes in temperature, direct sunlight and nearby sources of heat (ovens, heaters).

The device is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children.

Clean the device with a damp cloth.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning products and never submerge the device in water. -
Using the device improperly or opening the housing will void the warranty.

In a variable environment, the thermo-hygrometer requires 15 minutes to deliver a reliable measurement.
Getting started:
Remove the insulation strip from the battery compartment on the underside of the device. The device is now ready for use. You can use the fold-out stand to create a stand-alone device or you can mount it on the wall using the hook (on the back of the device).
Operation:
- To display the maximum measured temperature/humidity, press the MAX/MIN button on the back of the device.
- The minimum and maximum measured temperature/humidity is deleted every 24 hours. However, in order to delete them manually, open the battery compartment, remove the batteries, and put them back in.
- The device can display the temperature in either degrees Celsius (°C) or degrees Fahrenheit (°F). To select your preferred temperature unit, press the °C/°F button on the back of the device.
Smiley symbol:
A smiley on the display shows the current room conditions
= temperature 20-25°C, humidity 30-60% (ideal value)
= any temperature and humidity under 30%
= any temperature and humidity over 60%
Smiley does not appear on the display if the humidity is between 30-60% and
the temperature is NOT 20-25°C.
If the air humidity is outside of the measurement range, ,, LL“ (<20%) or »HH”
(>95%) will be displayed,
Technical data
- Temperature measurement range: 0 – 50 °C (32 – 122 °F)
- Humidity measurement range: 20% – 95%
- CR2025 button cell battery
Disposal:
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste
at the end of its useful life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local
collection or recycling point. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC
Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any
questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste
disposal.
Warranty/service
In case of a claim under the warranty please contact your local dealer or the
local representative which is mentioned in the list “service international”.
In case of returning the unit please add a copy of your receipt and a short
report of the defect.
The following warranty terms shall apply:

The warranty period for BEURER products is either 3 years or- if longer- the country-specific warranty period from the date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.

Repairs (complete unit or parts of the unit) do not extend the warranty period,

The warranty shall not be valid for damages because of
a. improper treatment, e.g. nonobservance of the user instructions.
b, repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorized third parties.
c, transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during trans-port to the service center.
d, The warranty shall not be valid for accessories that are subject to normal wear and tear (cuff, batteries, etc.), -
Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit is excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
