ELVITA BLENDER

Read through this user manual carefully before using the blender. Save the manual for later reference, to avoid incorrect use or injury.
In this manual, the blender will also be referred to as “the unit”.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • The unit may only be connected to an earthed wall socket with the main voltage of 220–240V 50/60Hz.

  • NEVER leave children unattended near the connected unit.

  • This product can be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, and by persons without proper practical experience or expertise, provided they are supervised or instructed on the safe use of the product and understand the risks involved with its use.

  • Place the unit on a flat, dry surface indoors far away from heat sources.

  • Do not immerse the unit in water or similar liquid, for instance when cleaning it.

  • NEVER pull on the mains lead. To protect the lead from damage, always use the plug to disconnect the unit from the mains electricity supply. Do not use the unit under any circumstances if the mains lead or any other part of the unit is damaged.
    Have the unit been repaired by an authorized service agent?

  • If the unit is used in other ways than for its intended purpose, or without following the user manual, the User shall be responsible for any consequences. Any damage to the product resulting from improper use shall not be covered by the guarantee or the returns policy.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Take care as the unit has sharp, fast-rotating parts.
  • Make sure the blender accessories are correctly attached before use.
  • Do not operate the unit if it is empty or has very hot liquids in it.
  • Never hold implements close to the unit’s blades.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The blender can be used for mixing, chopping, and blending, e.g. for milkshakes, baby food, soups, and sauces. It can also be used for crushing ice for drinks etc.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  • Unpack the unit and put all the parts on a horizontal surface.
  • Wash the pitcher, pitcher lid, and measuring cup with warm water and a little dishwashing liquid. Then rinse the parts and allow to dry.

Do not immerse the motor unit (6) in water during cleaning. Handle the blades with care as they are very sharp.

SPEED CONTROL
Set the speed control (5) to the desired speed

  • Position 1 = lowest speed
  • Position 2 = highest speed
  • Position P* (pulse) Turn the speed control to position P and hold it in place until the contents reach the desired consistency (the speed dial will automatically return to 0 when released).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, BLENDER PITCHER (4)
Check that the speed control is in position 0 before attaching the pitcher.

BLENDING FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

  • Place the motor unit (6) on a flat surface.
  • Peel and/or core and dice the fruit (e.g. apple, banana, or pear). Put the diced fruit/vegetables into the pitcher (4). You may need to add a little drinking water to help the unit operate smoothly and evenly. Use 2 parts fruit/vegetables to 3 parts water. The total amount of liquid must not exceed the maximum level indicated on the pitcher.
  • Place the pitcher (4) on the motor unit (6) and put the lid on.
  • Turn the speed control (5) to position 0 when the contents reach the desired consistency.
  • Remove the pitcher from the motor unit (6), carefully remove the lid and serve.

NOTE: Do not operate the unit if it is empty or has hot liquids in it (max. temperature 60 °C). The pitcher can be used to crush ice.

ADDING INGREDIENTS

  • If you want to add ingredients during blending, switch off the unit and remove the measuring cup (1) in the center of the pitcher lid (2). Replace the measuring cup before restarting the unit.

NOTE: Do not run the blender for longer than 3 minutes.
Let the blender rest for at least 3 minutes before running it again.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, PORTABLE BEAKER (8)
This blender includes a portable plastic beaker (8) which is practical to carry around and drink from.

  • Place the motor unit (6) on a flat surface.
  • Place the portable beaker (8) on a flat surface with the open end facing upwards.
  • Put your chosen ingredients into the beaker. Do not exceed the 600 ml marking.
  • Attach the portable beaker (8) to the beaker base (9).
  • Turn the assembled beaker over (8 & 9).
  • The arrow on the beaker base should be aligned with the arrow on the motor unit (6). Turn clockwise to lock into place.
  • Blend to the desired consistency.
  • Remove the beaker (8) and the beaker base (9) by turning them counterclockwise.
  • Turn the beaker over (8) and remove the beaker base (9).
  • Attach the lid to the beaker (7).
  • The assembled beaker can easily be carried around. To drink out of the beaker, just open the lid above the spout.

PLEASE NOTE :
Fruit and vegetables should be peeled/cored and diced (15 × 15 × 15 mm cubes). The seeds in the fruit or vegetables must be edible (e.g. in carrots, strawberries, pineapple, grapes, and tomatoes).

NOTE!

  • Put the ingredients in the beaker in the following order: liquid, fresh ingredients, frozen fruit, yogurt, and ice cream.
  • Do not operate the unit for more than 3 minutes without interruption (let it cool to room temperature before starting it again).
  • Wash the beaker after finishing the blended drink.

MILL

  • Place the motor unit (6) on a flat surface.

  • Place the mill beaker (10) on a flat surface with the open end facing upwards.
    Put the ingredients you want to grind into the mill beaker (10) (e.g. beans, coffee beans, etc.). Do not exceed the max. level of 50 ml.

  • Put the beaker base (11) on the open end of the beaker and turn it counterclockwise.

  • Turn the assembled mill beaker over.

  • The arrow on the assembled beaker mill should be aligned with the arrow on the motor unit (6). Turn clockwise to lock into place.

  • Blend to the desired consistency.

  • Remove the mill beaker by turning it counterclockwise.

  • Hold the beaker unit upright with one hand and remove the beaker base by turning it clockwise.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The automatic cleaning function cleans the blender and the blade unit quickly, easily, and safely.

  • After use: Assemble the pitcher (or beaker) and pour a little warm water into it.
    Hold the speed control in the P (pulse) position for a few seconds to remove food residue. Then remove the pitcher (or beaker) from the motor unit (6) and wash it in running water.

  • Wipe the outside of the motor unit (6) clean with a damp cloth (do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning products). Do not immerse the product in water or other liquid when cleaning it.

  • The blender pitcher (4), portable beaker (8) and mill beaker are dishwasher-proof up to 60 °C.

  • The rotating blades are not dishwasher-proof.

  • Wipe all the parts dry and reassemble them.

NOTE: Handle the blades with care when washing them (they are very sharp

PRODUCT DISPOSAL

According to law, electrical and electronic devices must be disposed of at recycling stations and certain parts must be recycled. Electrical and electronic devices marked with a recycling symbol must be taken to a municipal recycling station.
