DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS

DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS

BEFORE USE

  • Clean the bowl and blade in warm water before using the appliance for the first time.
  • Make sure (before each use) that the potato peeler is positioned on a clean, dry surface and that it stands steady on the rubber plinth.
  • Make sure that the appliance is switched off before inserting the plug into the wall socket.
  • Position the bowl correctly on the base and fit the blade on the shaft (make sure that both the bowl and blade are properly centred).

USING THE POTATO PEELER

  1. Make sure the start switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Make sure that all components are correctly positioned (if they are not, the appliance will not work).
  3. Fill the container with 450 ml of water or up to the selection line and then add potatoes until the blade is covered (never more than 1 kg). Make sure the lid is properly closed.
  4. Turn the start switch to the ON position to start the appliance (it will start to vibrate but will remain stable thanks to the rubber plinth).
  5. It takes around two minutes for the potato peeler to peel the potatoes (you can see through the lid how peeling is progressing). It may take a little longer to peel potatoes of irregular shape, but do not run the potato peeler for more than four minutes. Once the potatoes are fully peeled, turn off the potato peeler with the start switch (OFF), unplug the power cord, remove the lid and take out the potatoes.
  6. Wash the potatoes in tap water and remove any residual peel with a knife or hand-held potato peeler.

CLEANING AND CARE

  1. Wash the bowl and blade in tap water after each use.
  2. Turn the start switch to OFF and unplug the appliance from the mains before starting any cleaning work.
  3. Do not immerse the power cord, plug or base of the potato peeler in water or any other liquid.
  4. Only use tap water to clean the blade and lid.
  5. Wipe down all components with a dry cloth after cleaning.
  6. Do not use cloths that might scratch the appliance.
