Using Your Speaker to Charge USB Devices
The Sonic Boom speaker can be used to charge most smartphones and other electronic devices that plug into a USB port for charging. Plug one end of your device’s charging cable into your device and plug the other end into any of the USB 5V Output ports on your Sonic Boom (you will need to open the waterproof cover). The Sonic Boom does not need to be plugged into a power outlet in order to charge your electronic devices through the USB output ports, however, its battery life will decrease until the next time you recharge it. Three different USB-powered devices can be charged at once.

Using Your Speaker to Power Devices that have an AC Adapter Plug
The Sonic Boom speaker can also be used to power devices that plug into an AC power outlet for power. Plug your device’s AC power plug into either of the AC Power Outlets on the rear of your Sonic Boom (you will need to open the waterproof cover). Note that the Sonic Boom needs to be plugged into either an AC or DC power outlet in order to power your electronic devices and the ON/OFF switch needs to be in the ON position. Two different AC-powered devices can be charged at once.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does this speaker only broadcast in mono?
Yes. One speaker will only produce mono sound. I must add that I was skeptical at first. However, this thing blows away any comparable device I’ve ever come across. Clear definition with booming bass.

  • Is it really waterproof?
It is. As long as you keep all ports properly closed when exposing it to water. By far the best Bluetooth speaker I have bought. Sounds great.

  • Is it possible to use a microphone that connects with a USB cable?
Yes, you can. I actually connect 2 wireless ones so we can do Karaoke.

  • How do you charge this speaker?
You get a charger with it. Just plug it into the wall socket. You can’t charge it with USB.

  • Can you use a car charger to use it?
Yes if you have an inverter but if you don’t then no because the speaker requires a 120-volt source.

  • How do you link two of these for stereo sound?
You have it explained in papers that come with the speaker.

  • How long does the battery last on full volume?
Honestly, I haven’t had it turned all the way up often but the battery life is pretty awesome, That was one of the reasons that I bought this speaker..
