POWER
Green wire – Right signal light-The Type S Tailgate LED light kit comes with a 4 Way Flat Pin connector. Simply plug into your truck’s trailer light connector. If your truck does not have a 4 Way Flat Pin trailer connector and has7 -prong round trailer plug please purchase an adapter. If you wish to hardwire, reference plug color code below for wire identification. Hardwire connection should be connected at the trailer plug wire harness.
Note: Refer to your vehicle’s service manual for a wire schematic for correct wire placement or you can test the power sources using a multi-meter.
INSTALLATION
Note: Depending on the size of your truck, make sure there is no obstruction around the area you want to install the Tailgate LED light. You may have to remove the tailgate prior to installation.

Power your Type S Tailgate LED light and trigger the Left / Right signal indicator to ensure it is installed in a correct direction. Do this before mounting the Tailgate LED Light onto your vehicle.

Thoroughly clean the surface where you desire to apply the Tailgate LED light with isopropyl alcohol. Dry completely.

Peel off the 3M™ tape backer from the Tailgate LED light strip.

Mount the Tailgate LED light strip.

Run the power wire harness between the bumper and the back and plug into the 4 Way Flat Pin trailer light connector. The trailer light connector is located near the tow hitch.
