Never work under or near a load that is only supported by this device.
Do not use the jack for continuous support e.g. to level a trailer, camper, building structure… or to move a vehicle.

Always chock wheels that are in contact with the floor in both directions.

  • This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. • Never overload these axle stands by exceeding the rated safe working load. Check the vehicle’s owner manual for gross vehicle weight.
  • Use no more than one pair of stands.

  • Only use on solid, even and level ground with the wheel chocked, the vehicle in gear and its handbrake on.
  • Always ensure that the load is centred and secured on the axle stand top saddle. Off centre loads can become unstable and slip resulting in possible danger or injury.
  • Ensure that each stand is securely located under a strong, stable point on the vehicle. Consult the vehicle’s owner manual for guidance.
  • Ensure vehicle jacking and support points are in good, sound condition with no corrosion, etc.
  • Do not attempt to move or dolly the vehicle whilst on the axle stands or jack.
  • Do not attempt to modify these axle stands in any way.
  • Upper and lower columns are to be used as a pair.

Operation

Before First Use
Place the ratchet bar into the lower support frame. Bend the locking bar tab inwards using a blunt-ended tool and hammer. When lifted by the ratchet bar, they should not separate.

Inspection Before Each Use
Visual inspection should be made before each use of the axle stands. Check for cracked welds and damaged, loose or missing parts. Any axle stand, which appears to be damaged in any way, found to be badly worn, operates abnormally, or has been subjected to an abnormal load or shock, must not be used.

Use To Support the Vehicle

  1. Adjust the height by pulling up on the ratchet bar ensuring the ratchet stop is fully engaged.
  2. Insert the locating pin through the holes in the lower column. 3
  3. Raise the vehicle and carefully position the ratchet axle stands so that the load is centred on the stand’s saddle.
  4. Slowly lower the vehicle onto the stands – securely chock wheels remaining on the ground.
  5. Before starting work ensure the vehicle is fully secure.
  • The stands must be positioned on a hard level surface e.g. concrete.
  • The safe working load must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
  • Centre the load on the saddle.
  • Use as a pair to support one end of a vehicle only.

Use – To Lower the Vehicle

  1. Raise the vehicle clear of stands.
  2. Remove the locating pin.
  3. Carefully release the ratchet stop and lower the ratchet to the lowest position. Do not allow to drop.
  4. Remove the stands. Then, carefully lower the vehicle to the ground.
  5. Ensure that all tools, equipment and personnel are clear before lowering the load.

Care and Maintenance

  • Periodically inspect each stand. Ensure all parts move freely. Do not apply oil or grease to any part of this product. If rust appears, sand the affected area and cover with suitable paint.
  • When the jack is not in use or for storage, lower the saddle completely to prevent corrosion.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Protect it from splashes and spraying liquid.
