Installation Requirements
+ Install bracelet on bare skin:
Ask the participant to raise their pants and lower their sock so the ankle is exposed.
+ Perform tap test (Avoid installing on prosthetic leg):
- Instruct the participant to place their heel on the floor. With the toes pointing up in the air, request for the participant to rotate his foot at the ankle.
- Also request the participant to tap their toes up and down to the floor a few times.
CAUTION: Only install the bracelet on the leg that can perform ankle rotations with the toes pointing in the air followed by the tap test.
+Ankle & Heel Inspection :
If the participant does not have a definable ankle bone or heel bone to prevent device removal, inform your direct supervisor BEFORE proceeding.
+ Charging Requirements :
Once the bracelet has been installed, physically demonstrate for the participant how to plug in and remove the charger from the device and wall outlet

Charging
- The bracelet is charged by attaching a supplied magnetic charging cord to the bracelet’s charging plug.
- The power cord should be connected directly to a standard wall outlet not controlled by a light switch.
- Do not charge the device while sleeping; Foot must be firmly planted on the ground while charging.
- The offender should be advised to charge the bracelet at the same time each day.

Cleaning The Equipment
- All Sentinel devices and chargers must be disinfected between uses.
- Clean all Sentinel devices and chargers with commercial spray or liquid disinfectants.
- The charger can be cleaned with a disinfectant wipe.
- CAUTION: If you believe a Sentinel device may pose a specific health hazard, minimize the number of people who come into contact with the device and handle the equipment with gloves and a facemask prior to disinfecting. Disinfect the device using the Do-it ALL Foaming Germicidal Cleaner, place the device in a sealed, plastic bag, and return the device to Sentinel; clearly label the plastic bag with the word “Disinfect.”

that may cause undesired operation.

residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to
radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
CAUTION: Changes or modifications to this device not expressly approved by Sentinel Offender Services could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
