Communication Ports
The ACC-7725 Charging Cradle has two communication ports and one power jack located on the rear of the cradle. The cradle itself has no internal or external settings that can be changed.
The Charging Cradle
The cradle automatically charges the mobile computer battery while it is resting in the cradle. The cradle also includes an extra slot to charge a spare battery. The Charging Cradle is designed to accommodate the mobile computer with or without the optional pistol grip handle.
The Charging Cradle has three indicator lights:
- Indicates that the charging cradle power is on or off.
- Indicates the mobile computer main battery charge status.
- Indicates the spare battery charge status.
When the battery charge LED is red, the battery is currently charging. When the battery charge LED is green, the battery is fully charged. A fully discharged battery takes about 4 hours to completely recharge. When both the spare battery and mobile computer are charging in the cradle at the same time, the spare battery will take longer to fully charge.
To connect power to the cradle
- Plug in the PWR-8050 power supply to a standard 120 VAC electrical outlet.
- Connect the plug on the end of the power supply into the round, barrel-jack connector, marked “12VDC” on the back of the cradle.
- After 2 seconds the cradle power LED, on the front panel, will illuminate red to indicate power is connected.
Charging
Set the M7700 Striker, M7800 Scepter, or M7800 Solo Mobile Computer into the cradle and it will begin charging immediately.
