Introduction

Thank you for choosing to purchase this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury, we ask you to always take some basic safety precautions when using this product. Please read this operating manual carefully and make sure that you understand it.
Keep these operation instructions in a safe place.
This pipe bender is suitable for bending aluminium, copper, and plastic- composite pipes. It can be used with six pipe models: 1014, 1216, 1418, 1620, 2025, 2632. The bending angle can be set to a maximum value of 90°. The piper bender is an essential bending tool with simple construction, handy installation, and easy operation.

Safety instructions

  • Keep your working area tidy. Untidy work areas invite accidents.
  • Consider the conditions of your working area. Do not work in damp, wet, or badly lit areas. Do not expose the tool to rain. Always keep your working area well illuminated.
  • Keep children away. Children must not be near the work area. Do not allow children to operate the device.
  • Store non-used devices. If not using the device, keep it in a dry place. If possible, keep it out of children’s reach.
  • Never apply force on tools or machines. They will operate more reliably and with more safety if used for applications that they have been designed for.
  • Use the appropriate tool. Do not use small tools or accessories for work that would need to be done with a large industrial machine. Never use tools or devices for work that they have not been designed for.
  • Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that could get caught in mov-ing parts. It is advisable to wear protective work gloves and anti-slip shoes. Tie long hair together to avoid it getting caught by the machine.
  • Wear a suitable protective equipment (protective goggles, protective gloves, etc.).
  • Do not stoop down too far. Ensure a safe stand and keep your balance.
  • Always maintain tools with care. Keep tools proper to ensure their functioning reliably and safely. Obey the instructions on lubricating and replacing accessory parts. Always keep the handles clean, dry, and free from oil and grease.
  • Stay alert. Concentrate on what you are doing and work with common sense. Do not use the device when being tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine. Read the warnings that are on and in the packaging of your medicine to know if your perception or reflexes are impaired by the medicine that you take. In case you are not sure, you should not operate tools or devices.
  • Before operating any tool or device, check it for missing or damaged components. Any part that could be damaged must be checked properly for its operability. Check the alignment of moving parts and ensure that they are not blocked or otherwise damaged. Ensure that no part is dam-aged or otherwise limited in operability. Any damage should be repaired or replaced by a spe-cialist.
  • When repairing the device, only use identical spare parts. Only use accessories designed for use with this device.

Installation

First install the bending tool before using it. Check all parts for completeness (Fig. 1). Refer to the chart of the “Other remarks” section to know how many parts should be there.

Figure 1: Parts of pipe bender and their names

Name Name
1 Pressing piece 6 Fixing rail
2 Toolbox 7 Wing screw
3 Lever 8 Pin shaft
4 Tension spring 9 Winged nut
5 Handle 10 Modules
  1. With the help of the pin shaft and the winged nut, mount two modules onto the fixing rail that has two mounting positions. If you use a type-1014, -1216, -1418, and -1620 pipe, install the mod-ules in pos. 1 as shown in Fig. 2a. If you use a type-2025 and -2623 pipe, install the modules in pos. 2 as shown in Fig. 2b.

  2. Fix the fixing rail into the notch with the help of the winged screw as shown in Fig. 3.

Operation

Attention! When bending thin-walled pipes (pipes or conducts), fill the pipe with sand and obturate the two ends before bending.

  1.  Fix the pipe and pressing piece and place the pipe onto the module via the corresponding notch.
Then place the corresponding pressing piece into the end of the frame, following the different pipe sizes, as shown in Fig. 4.
Name Name Name
1 Pipe 1 Press 3 Lever
2 Pressing piece 2 Untighten 4 Handle
  1.  Bend the pipe by pressing and untightening the lever. Repeat. Move the bar with the pressingpiece forward until the pipe is bent to the desired angle.
  2. Remove the pipe. With one hand, hold the handle, the lever with the other hand, and pull them apart; thereby, the end of the lever will go down. Then the pressing piece will move backwards and downwards together with the frame guide. When bent, the pipe can be easily removed.

Other instructions

  • Before mounting and using, check all components for completeness and operability. Refer to the following chart to know the parts, names, and quantities (v.e. Fig. 1).
    Name| Qty.| Name| Qty.
    ---|---|---|---
    Components of handle and lever| 1| Winged nuts| 2
    Fixing rail| 1| Pressing pieces (14 mm–32 mm)| 6 (1 per size)
    Modules| 2| User’s manual| 1
Pin shaft and parts of winged nut| 2| Toolbox| 1
  • Do not allow that pressing pieces fall lest they be damaged.
  • The pressing piece and notch of the module should agree with the pipe size to avoid that the surface of the pipe be scratched.
  • In case the lever cannot retract normally when operated, the tension spring has lost elasticity. Replace the spring.
  • To simplify introducing of type-2025 and -2653 pipes into the pressing piece, slightly adapt the pipe by pressing it by hand when using the pressing piece.
  • In case the pressing piece does not retract to normal position when you pull the lever apart, tap it slightly downwards by hand. However, do not use a hammer or other solid objects for tapping to avoid that the surface of the pipe be scratched.
  • Regularly lubricate the frame.
