How to insert a SIM and Memory card to the freedom turbo XL:
- Push the Schak SIM removal tool in the phone’s tray hole. Important, use only Schok’s original SIM removal tool.
- Slide the tray completely out. You will find two spaces.
- Space “/\’ is for SIM card slot #1 (Main SIM card), space “B” is for either the SIM card number#2 or the SD memory card.
- Securely fit the SIM card or Memory card in their dedicated slots. Both SIM and Memory card must be flushed to the tray.
- Push the tray back in place until is completely inserted into the structure of the phone.
How to charge your Schok freedom turbo XL:
- Connect the USB Type-C'” side of the cable to the freedom turbo XL charging port. (The USB Type-C side has the smaller tip of the cable)
- Connect the USB side of the cable to the wall charger USB port.
- Connect the Smartphone wall charger to the electric outlet.
- Charge your device for at least two hours.
TIP:
Prior to the first time of use, please fully charge the battery, and always
avoid leaving your phone connected to the wall charger for long periods of
time. When fully charged, disconnect the phone from the wall charger.
How to turn it on:
Firmly, “press and hold” the power button for four seconds.
How to turn it off:
- Firmly, “press and hold. the power button for one second.
- You will be presented with two options: “Power off or Restart”
- Click “Power off” (System will turn off in approximately four seconds.J
- Click “Restart” and the system will turn off and restart automatically.
How to unlock your Schok freedom turbo XL:
To save battery, the display will go off in 30 second and the smartphone will
lock itself. (Later, you can change this in settings) To unlock it, you need
to follow these easy steps:
- Press the power button for half a second. The smartphone will wake immediately and the lock screen will be visible.
- From the bottom centered location of the screen slide your finger towards the top of the display in a straight line. Now, Have fun!
How to lock your Schok freedom turbo XL:
Your Schak freedom turbo XL will go to sleep and lock itself as soon as you
press the power button.
How to connect to a WI-Fl access point:
Your new smartphone is able to connect to any compatible 2.4GHz or 5GHz
wireless router or access point with a 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless protocol. To
do this, you will need to do the following:
- From the apps screen click the “Settings” icon
- Click “Network & Internet” and then, “Wi-Fi”
- If Wi-Fi is off, please turn it on.
- Choose your desired network.
- If your network is password protected, a pop-up screen will appear requesting a password.
- Enter the password and click “Connect”
- You are now connected!
TIP:
The closer to the wireless access point the stronger the signal. Be careful
with microwaves ovens and 2.4 GHz wireless home phones, as they can disrupt
wireless signals. To save the battery of your device you can turn-off its Wi-
Fi module at any time.

on the Navigation bar:
On certain applications, the navigation bar which is located across the bottom
of the screen will disappear. Bringing it back is very simple.
Slide your finger upwards from the bottom of the screen. The Navigation bar
will appear immediately.

FCC Hearing-Aid Compatibility (HAC)
Your phone is compliant with the FCC Hearing Aid Compatibility requirements. The FCC has adopted HAC rules for digital wireless phones. These rules require certain phones ta be tested and rated under the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) C63.19-2011 hearing aid compatibility standards. The ANSI standard for hearing aid compatibility contains two types of ratings:
- M-Ratings: Rating for less radio frequency interference to enable acoustic coupling with hearing aids.
- T-Ratings: Rating for inductive coupling with hearing aids in telecoil mode.
